Aug. 18, 20: Walking, Bills, Putzing, Math, and Games

A crack in’ start to the day at six thirty and a full eight hours of sleep! 🥳 Didn’t feel very motivated to get out early for a walk, though, so I waited till later.

Did the usual morning routine and was not so happy to see that Bitcoin went hardcore Bart Simpson up in this biatch! Back to resistance, right where we were before the breakout. 😡

I suppose some pullback is healthy, but fricking A! Don’t erase all the gains and threaten to break support! What’s the deal?!?!

Messed around for a while on Discord, did my post and some chores and stuff. Tomorrow’s my birthday, so I needed to pay my birthday present to the State to beg permission for the privilege to operate a motor vehicle. 😡🤬 Fu)&ing bullshit racket is what it is!

I also needed to pay the water bill, so I headed that way for my walk to kill two birds with one stone.

Kinda’ cold for my taste, especially for being later in the afternoon! Still, not bad being out.

Went down past the lake. Didn’t take too many pictures since I was pretty lost in thought thinking about my thesis project and then getting sidetracked on trying to lay out Solairitas’ wind turbines and solar panels to maximize energy production. 🤓

I went past the Township offices to see if they’re open because I need to file my paperwork for the upcoming election. It pissed me off so bad!!!! 🤬 They’re open, with a sign on the door that says “Wear a mask. It’s the law!” and then cites the governor’s executive order. Goddammit that’s irresponsible and perpetuates blind obedience to tyranny!

There’s the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of government; the Legislature makes the laws, not the Executive...this is fucking high school, people!!! Government 101! Executive Orders are NOT laws! FAAAAACK!

I was also quite annoyed to get a letter from my insurance company threatening to cancel my policy for non-payment. I have it on full balance auto-pay, but they refused the payment and then charged me $25 for the privilege! Now I have to call and deal with that shit as well. 😡

In the afternoon I spent some time putzing out in the garage. Got a couple more pieces of wire done from start to ready to go into the acid.

I took a bunch of pictures to illustrate how much work I gloss over when I say “putzing” but I want to capture the whole procedure, so I need a couple more post-acid pics...maybe tomorrow.

Tried to focus some and got some of the calculations done that I need to do. Nice thing is that since these are order two elements, once I have one I get the other for free, so there’s only half as many calculations to do...BUT, I need to do this six times over. 😧

In the evening, Wenche made yummy pasta and meat sauce for dinner, I played my Splinterlands, and then fell asleep early watching some series from like the early nineties; Archangle, I think.

Yet another day of no crime in my dCity! 😁 Got a nice big chunk of SIM today; seems the taxes have relaxed significantly. It’s just about decision time here...still thinking another Brewery is a good bet, get some more of those passive tokens coming in.

I had a bit of a tougher time in the arena today, but still was able to complete all my Holybread tasks for the day! 👍

Had to re-up on potions, so that blew nearly all my gold. I still had a little over a million, so I pumped it into stats.

Still hanging on at the top, though...number ten still counts as top ten. 🤩

I got Earth splinter again for my Splinterlands quest today. Continued right on with my streak from yesterday!!!

Came super close to Champion, but didn’t quite make it. Completed the quest in Diamond I with a potion. A little bit better rewards today, got more cards at least:

I only needed one more win to break back into Champion, so I had to give it a shot. Of course, I lost and broke the streak. No Champion for you!

Got my stats for the last week. Still continuing on a down trend. 😢 Hate to see all those red flags, especially two weeks in a row. Gotta’ pick it up here!

Fitbit trophies are still screwed up and not updating, so I still have to use the photo from a couple days ago, even though I did get my ten thousand steps for the day.
