Dec. 31, 20: Oculus, Grocery Shopping, Short Walk, TV, New Year’s Dinner, and Games

Up about quarter to five this morning, but even though it was a little early, I got a full eight hours and nearly an hour over! Didn’t drag too bad today and we actually got some stuff done.

Did the usual morning routine and was happy to find Bitcoin continuing to show strength pushing all the way to $29.5k! ETH is popping pretty good as well...looking at about seven-fold gains on that investment. 🤑 Still sitting on that, though, I think there’s a boatload more upside potential in the mid to long term.

HIVE still stagnant at around four hundred Sats, maybe Power Up Day will help it slightly?!

Got my H-E tokens staked up and ready and got the richlist together for the Solairitas Weekly News Update, the last of the year, and got that posted and shared to Twitter and Discord.

We skipped doing the grocery shopping this past Sunday since we’d stocked up the week before, but we were running short on a few things, so we figured it wise to head in first thing to try and beat the crowd. It wasn’t too bad when we got there, but we certainly weren’t alone. Still, we were done, home, and put stuff away by like ten thirty!

I didn’t figure we’d be back by ten so I got my post set up and scheduled before we left, but then I got lazy...still need to go back and edit.

Not particularly nice out, but we’ve been pretty lazy about getting out for walks, so we took the dog for a short one around town.

No Sun anywhere to be seen and the wind was narsty! Even so, it was good to be outside and let the doggy get a chance to sniffy sniff.

Spent a significant portion of the afternoon jacked in. I played a few rounds of Pistol Whip and posted some new high scores. Took a break for a bit and sat with the wifey watching some cheesy nonsense show about an old-timey teacher, she had that on in the background for most of the day, so ended up gagging my way through quite a bit of that when I took a break from playing.

Played some Beat Saber, of course, but the new pack is very motion heavy and I’m honestly quite sore in my arms and shoulders. Posted a couple more new high scores on expert, but didn’t really play it too long.

I finished up Trover Saves the Universe. It was really fun to play and funny, but again, way too short! I went back through and found all the green powerbaby collectibles for the “special reward.” Not sure if it was totally worth the extra effort, but it did make me giggle (no spoilers).

In the evening Wenche made New Year’s Eve dinner. We had burgers and fries. Yummy 😋 Afterward she switched over to something less crap on the TV, but I wasn’t very long for this world...at least I made it to midnight somewhere in the world. 😛

No crime or crises in my dCity today, but my income got nailed anyway by a Criminal spawning. If it’s not one thing, it’s another. Even so, that’s an easy one to fix; I just put it on the market... I actually sold one already, so that ends up being a bonus if it goes through.

I got the Mining Tech and RoboCop. Not confident in their efficacy, but we’ll see.

Didn’t get my Holybread tasks done today. 😢 Came real close to even missing the quest one, but I did a five minute one real quick and got it. The arena, well, got two but not the third.

I went over to their Discord and begged for them to fix the bot, but no response at all. It is holiday, though.

I broke down and bought some good water for two CBM in the hopes that I would be able to brew a IPA instead of the basic lager. I got it done and sold it out.

So fuc$ing stupid! Ended up being worth .3 CBM less than the lowest after expenses. This game seriously sucks my balls, and not in a good way.

I did move up a couple slots, but who gives a flying rat’s ass about that? I just want my thousand so I can dump out and quit wasting my time.

Well, it’s a couple days in now, so might give it a shot here, but didn’t today. Seems about the only time I actually play is when I’m up in the middle of the night and watched all the new YouTube videos and gotten bored.
