June 2, 21: Routine/Posting, Sleeping, Oculus, TV, Laps, and Games

🎶 and they all live in ticky-tack boxes, and they all look just the same... 🎵 Hate these bland, white cover photos lacking the date and everything. I even shut down the FitBit and restarted in the hope that it would update or fix, but no luck. 😭

Speaking of 😭 today was basically a loss. My sleep continues to be completely screwed up and I was out of bed at three thirty this morning. Come noon after I ate lunch, though, and I could barely hold myself up. Crashed out for a solid four hours and killed the rest of the day more or less.

Been waking up thinking about moving ETH over to Polygon for the last couple days. Part of me says it’s super early and I could see some nice gains on a punt or two, another part says I’ve already missed it and I might as well wait and pray for the gas prices to come down (for ETH to fork). Meanwhile, I haven’t made a move and miss even more of the upside over on Polygon...FOMO much?

Realized that I had miscalculated my time to break even on VFTlab... I was calculating the time to make back the whole amount of HIVE I’ve spent, but that’s not fair because I still have and could sell. For the HIVE pool it looks like 9.6 days to break even, not too shabby, but with no fee on the VFT pool, that’s all gravy!

Messed around quite a bit on Discord and picked up some drops on tipCC. New token just launched and people were chucking around millions of them. 😂

Too bad it costs 20 billion to move them. 😛🤣 Hopefully they’ll make the interest on HBD competitive here soon so I can just park in this ecosystem (like I want to) instead of chasing yield on these other chains.

I also played with Vertcoin for a while. Checked out Bittrex and it’s listed there, so I can get from VTC to HIVE. I got a wallet and withdrew what I had of it on tipCC. The fee was only a tenth of a penny, not bad!

I’ve got a miner that’s just sitting idle since it can’t compete with ASICs, might give mining VTC a shot.

Still losing hard on the shittokens I bought, but cryptos saw a little green today. My alts are still below where I bought them as well, but just about back to break even on those.

Mostly cold and rainy out all day so not much motivation to get in the garden or go for a walk. 😢 Only ran the new air conditioner for about ten minutes (just to run it) and then had it shut off since! It’s supposed to get real summery here pretty quickly, though...

After I snoozed away the whole afternoon, I played a bit of Beat Saber to get the blood flowing again and then hit the shower. Had a shitton of steps left for the day, so put on my Favorites playlist on YouTube and busted out some serious laps.

Got my steps in for the day and then went more than a thousand past, just to pretend like I was active today.

Haven’t gotten much done in the real world for more days in a row than I’d like to admit. Need to sit down and try to get some web work done...I think that might make me feel a little bit better (even though that isn’t really “real world” anyway 😛).

General crime, a crises...meh. Boohoo, I don’t get the 18 SIM that I probably wouldn’t have gotten anyway, so big whoop!

This really has gone past the point of tolerability...kind of a “two weeks to flatten the curve” sort of deal. I can’t even be bothered to dump the cards over to Solairitas, but the little SIM I do get is still going over there.

I continue to expend my finite existence in this universe on this nonsense. Why? That’s a good question. I was up to something like 360 million gold; dumped it all into stats which, of course, had no effect.

Never had even the slightest notion that I would get an arena win today, but for some reason (habit?) I still kept trying anyway.

Got my one, customary, ingredient on CryptoBrewmaster today; didn’t cross my mind again. I did see it listed on stateofthedapps, but it’s waaaay at the bottom. Complexity for the sake of complexity without any instructions, perhaps? Pay-to-play in the guise of play-to-earn? Maybe a bit of both...

I wanted to play more Splinterlands than I did, but didn’t.
