Nov. 6, 22: Routine, Grocery Shopping, Yard Work, TV, and Games

[Ok, actually got a decent early start on my post today…eight thirty and I’m already done with the skeleton and starting into the text. 👍😁 We’ll see if it holds up; always seem to take the extra time for granted and end up chatting on Discord or getting into some game and then losing the time…]

Got to bed around ten last night and even with waking up during the night, I made it the whole way through in bed, but was up a bit earlier than I would have liked. I suppose it would have been normal time (seven), but with the clocks changing it was six. Still, only ended up about twenty minutes short of my eight hour goal, so not too bad. I wasn’t particularly energetic, but a Red Bull in the afternoon helped me to push through and even work outside again.

Did the usual morning routine and my alts over on Polygon were still doing quite well relative to ETH. 👍 I’m not even close to making back my losses there, but in dollar terms I’m actually making money on MATIC at the moment…we’ll see if it lasts or not. Did the normal curation, checked the SOL market, and got a new member set up. ☀️💪 Actually, still need to withdraw and power those funds up, I think.

Speaking of which, I swapped out all my SPS and vouchers I had sitting on the market and decided to pull out my DEC profits (well, most of it) and swapped them out as well. That put me in a good position and I had enough saved to buy 150 SOL back. That’s been bothering me, so it was good to get it at least partially taken care of, a hundred more to save up for now. Thinking, maybe once we’re past the first phase, I might sell some of those out (but for now I don’t want to undercut our growth)…also thinking of possibly donating some for a PIZZA giveaway, might help get a little publicity. 🤔

Got to work on my post for the day, got it done and shared, and then we headed into town to do the weekly grocery shopping. The road we normally take was closed halfway, but we needed to replace the six month water filters, so that worked out and we went past the hardware store first. We spent quite a bit of time in there, more than I had planned, looking at the shower kits they had there (still have the upstairs bathroom to redo) and got some ideas.

After that we hit the grocery store and busted $150 like it was nothing. Got home, put everything away, and got my usual sandwich for lunch. We binged some new show, can’t remember The Specials or something like that, but it always seems to come down to a lot of interpersonal drama just wrapped in a different cloak, whether it be vampires or mutants or witches or whatever, so those shows don’t seem to keep my attention for long…maybe one or two minutes of CGI once in a while, but mostly just jibber-jabber otherwise.

I was starting to feel a little unproductive, so besides folding and putting away the clean laundry that Wenche had done, I went out to take care of all the leaves 🍁 that had blown into the yard again from the high winds we had yesterday.

Had quite a few sizeable branches and tons of twigs all over, but nothing major. Got those picked up and out back on the burn 🔥 pile and got the leaves all back out to the front. Spent half the time swearing 🤬 and waiting for the wind to die down since it was literally blowing the leaves right back at me, but got it done (for the umpteenth time - hope they come suck them up soon, been like a week already 🤬).

Got back in, grabbed a shower, and Wenche made us salmon steaks with cucumbers and oven roasted potatoes for dinner and we watched some more of that show we were watching (I was playing a new WombPlay game that I downloaded: DragonStorm and earned about twelve thousand WomBucks playing that) before getting ready for bed properly and switching to Golden Girls until falling asleep.

Oh, man! This must be the shitstorm of the year…two or three days of building off the coast, two days of insane shittiness, and now two days in the eye…thing is fucking YUGE!

I’ll admit that I was surprised, but my Ego is still zero on Rising Star and there weren’t any more drunk fans, so on with missions it is…am I even half way to millionaire yet? Nope, not even close.

To be honest, don’t think I really even thought about dealing with HashKings today. Often, it crosses my mind but when I think about it I don’t feel like it (as I should be working on the website and haven’t in forever 😡). I really think this guy has just gotten lucky with some underserved faith and support from the community…not sure it was the best idea for PIZZA to join up with this, but I suppose time will tell. One thing we do know for sure, he’s good at creating failed/abandoned tokens.

Claimed my SPS interest for the day and staked up all of it except what I used to pay the rental fees. My income did rise, slightly, but we’re averaging somewhere between $2.5 and $3 per day. I suppose that isn’t too bad…but compared to liquidating the cards and staking the equivalent amount of HIVE? Not sure, thinking that would win.

I did finally pull DEC out today, all but ten thousand…not exactly sure why I left that much (considered buying a couple packs and sitting on them, but didn’t), just didn’t want to blow my whole wad all at once.

Thinking I’m going to keep paying the fees with SPS for now and stake for another day or two before I save up more liquid to swap out…my voucher balance is getting up there a bit as well, might be time to move some more of those out. 🤔
