Wow! I can’t believe I don’t have any pictures at all for this section of my post other than the cover photo! 😱 Not even any B.S. lap map. 😝

Kind of a slow day in that sense, I suppose, but I did actually get going with some stuff.

Up at four thirty and another hour short yet again. 😢 Felt it in the afternoon, but fought my way through it and didn’t lay down.

Not a whole heck of a lot going on during the morning routine. BTC still on low volumes and still some time to wait for powerdowns, so just staked up some HE tokens and got all the information together that I need for the Solairitas Weekly News Update.

Somehow I ended up going through the entire day and not getting it done again! Terrible, terrible. 🤭

Today was supposed to be fork day, or rather already delayed fork day. Went in and checked the top twenty witnesses and only six were running the new code! I guess it’s been delayed yet again, now until the fourteenth...definitely a professional operation.

I figured out what was the matter with Drugwars. I’d logged into the wrong server! Once I logged out and switched server, everything was there...although I’m still not sure why I care. I’ve been blocked out of Steem-Engine since the fork and Steemconnect went kaput...tried to get in through HiveWallet with its keychain, but that didn’t work; different keychain. 😡

I think I might give it one more shot on the laptop. Since the fork I’ve just considered all those tokens as wasted time and money, but it would be nice to be able to get a little value back out of them, however little.

Wasted an hour or so of life watching the Vice Presidential debate. Would be nice if a politician ever answered the questions they were asked, but it wasn’t as chaotic as the Presidential debate.

I can say that Kamala’s “I’m speaking.(silence),” which in her mind is taking control of the stage, is obnoxious and made my skin crawl, and Pence just spits empty pandering nonsense (with a complete lack of soul I might add). They should let Jo Jo debate, she’s on the ballot in all fifty states!!! There is another choice, but they won’t even allow us to see it!

Got the chores and stuff done and then took the doggy for a ride into town to hit up the smoke stores. Got a new “ultra premium” kind. Seems a little light on the weight, but I’m excited to try it. 😄

Wasn’t really feeling the urge to go out in the garage today, but I did finally hunker down, fire up the computer, and start actually digging into code. I got a few basic changes made and started sorting through everything that’s there. One of the hardest things on the planet is reading someone else’s code!

At this point I’m just trying to get a sense of what’s going on and trying to get the old program running as is on my machine. There seems to be a few steps just to get to that point, but progress is progress.

It was a little disappointing to find that there’s yet another thing I need to know and don’t: PHP. I’ve never worked with it before and didn’t really even have any idea what it was! To be honest, I still only have a cursory understanding, just that it adds interoperability on the server side with the front end user (at least I think 🤔).

I started watching some tutorials on YouTube and it seems very similar to JavaScript in a lot of the syntax, so hasn’t been too scary yet (besides that first moment of looking at the code and having no clue what anything is). So now I’m learning SQL and PHP...teaching myself with online videos...what could go wrong? he says as he breaks the internet

Played some more Division on the Xbox. Played the final story mission and what do you know? It was an annoying helicopter boss fight with seeking missiles and all the bullpucky you’d expect from a boss fight like that.

To add a slight additional layer of sucky to it, you can’t let the controller go idle or the game boots you out of the server and you have to restart your progress...meaning once you started the mission you have to do it over and over till it’s completed in one sitting or else start from scratch!

I got it done, though, and that opened up a whole new world layer...tougher enemies and way better item drops! 😁 I got a badass gold rifle that makes the dude’s heads explode...a little bonus satisfaction for pwning a foo with a shot to the dome piece! 🤩

Still been having trouble with emojis and editing, really not sure what’s going on with that. I’ve shown them photo evidence of what’s been happening, so I think they believe me now, but it doesn’t seem like anybody else is reporting the problem, so maybe it’s me? 🤷‍♂️ For now that means that if I want emojis in my post, got to get them in on the first run or forget about it. 🥴

Had some cereal for dinner and then got ready for an early bedtime. I laid down and luckily realized that I still had a few hundred steps left! 😧

It wasn’t really enough to warrant getting dressed again and doing a map, so I just finished out my steps marching in place by the bed, went at least a little bit past cause I’ve been badly screwing my averages lately, laid back down, and was out pretty much as soon as my head hit the pillow. 😴

Another day of no crime in my dCity. 🤗 Looking to get that Police Station here pretty soon; will need some more population to run it, but that should help with the unemployment as well.

Got my Holybread tasks done today without too much of a problem. 😀 Basically just saving up again for the next potion refill, got enough for one already.

Not much motion either way on the leaderboard, slightly up. Just fine with me, holding the top twenty. 💪

I put in that brew yesterday on CryptoBrewmaster with the way better ingredients. Got it back and went to sell it and it’s worth less than it cost me to make it again! 😡🤬
