Sept. 8, 20: A Rainy Day Inside, Xbox, and Games

Seems like it’s been forever since I got a full night’s sleep, but today I made it to eight and a half! My back is really bugging me, though, so I kept waking up like every fifteen minutes.

Did the usual morning routine. Still waiting on Steem and Blurt powerdowns to come through so I have a little liquid to play with, so mainly just keeping an eye on the crypto markets and not making any moves.

HIVE is finding new lows...been considering snatching some up on the cheap, but that’s going to require some effort to get fiat into LTC into HIVE, especially since I’ll have to set up a new bank account link. I thought about it, but got stuck and quit.

It was storming really bad the whole day, and as hardcore as I may be some of the time, today was not the day. Spent some time over on Discord (so many servers, so little time), and then fired up the Xbox.

Pretty sweet, there were two new games available for download and so I grabbed ‘em real quick. One is a Tom Clancy, Splintercell type game that I haven’t checked out yet, and the other is ze Blob 2.

Got that downloaded and played a few levels. Sort of a kids game, I guess, relatively easy 3D platformer with 2D side levels. It’s been alright so far, at least less time consuming than Portal Knights.

Another unproductive day, for sure. I thought about going out to the garage and stripping some wire, but meh, nah. Just the usual mundane things and trying my best to ignore the rest.

Solairitas did sell 3 SOL, so I powered it up myself (saved the withdrawal fee) and used it to snag a BRO token! I’m really starting to get a fever for miners and faucet tokens. They don’t pay back quickly, but looking at the long haul, passive income was always the goal.

Anyway, by the end of the day I was still getting the knife in my back, so I took some painkillers and laid down to watch some tv and fall asleep. Luckily, I happened to look at my watch and realized I still had over three thousand steps to go for the day!!! 😱

Got up and dressed again and did laps around the house. Once again, FitBit didn’t seem to want to register it as walking, so I turned the map on to have it count. Somehow, I started outside by the street! 🤣

So, despite pain and rain I got my steps in and kept the ten k per day streak alive! 💪 I don’t even remember what was on the tv at that point, just laid down and passed out.

My Shopping Mall got robbed today. 😡 I still did get some SIM, though, not as bad as the Bank which wipes me out. Still in saving mode, but ecoinstant is the new dCity President, so hopefully taxes will be a little more reasonable.

I did get all my Holybread tasks done today, though! 🤩 My potions came up for refill, but I had plenty saved up, so got those renewed and repaired all my items. I had a few million gold left, so I sunk it into stats. I really wish my archer had better items, every day I refresh items specifically for her, and every day they’re crap (most not even for archer!) 🤬

I’m basically up against the same four guys over and over again, so most of the battles I know I’ll lose before they even start. 😢 Still, im hanging in there.

I got Fire splinter for my Splinterlands quest today. Another painful, aggravating, frustrating, unenjoyable day, couldn’t even fit all my loses on the battle log. Even after I’ve long since gotten fed up and just want to end the quest, it won’t let me, just lose over and over. I and my wife both asked why the hell I play it?

Nearly got knocked all the way back out of Champion entirely, but was able to hang on and finish the quest in Champion III with a potion, once again far worse off than when I started. Pretty pitiful rewards today, definitely didn’t make up for it:
