Who is HILL GIANT?

It is a COMMON monster from the EARTH unit. It attacks with MELEE, and it has no abilities before level 6, at level 6 it will get the STUN ability. There is some thing good with this monster, its costs just 3 Mana that makes it useful in the battles with low Mana Cap.

My lineup & strategy:

I was expecting that my opponent will use monsters with armors, so I chose WIZARD OF TIME to be my summoner.
And my lineup was:

1- Our themed card: HILL GIANT.

I hoped my opponent would use weak monsters, so I put HILL GIANT in the lead because he has good health compared to other monsters with low Mana Cost.

2- GOBLIN THIEF.

This monster is underrated. It can be harmful to the opponent because of its Sneak ability and 2 melee attack.

3- VENARI SCOUT.

It will make some damages to the opponent's weak monsters with the Opportunity ability with my expectation of removing the opponent's armors.

4- KHMER PRINCESS.

I always use this monster to hit form the back lines.

5- VAMPIRIC BLOSSOM.

I wanted to try this new card of mine. With 2 ranged attack, and the possibility of using the Oppress ability, it seemed like it would be a useful card.

Rules Of Compat: none.

Opponent's lineup: he used just three monsters (MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN, MYCELIC MORPHOUD,and GOBLIN PSYCHIC), with OBSODIAN summoner.

Let's see what happened in the battle:

I was unlucky, my opponent didn't use monsters with armor so my summoner became useless. It was also surprising that the opponent's tank was MYCELIC SLIPPPAWN who had the Taunt ability and this made his back lines safe.

ROUND 1:

The opponent's monsters got +1 magic attack, and my monsters attacked the opponent's tank, but to no avail. And my HILL GIANT got eliminated by GOBLIN PSYCHIC.

ROUND 2:

MYCELIC SLIPPPAWN had extra health due to GOBLIN PSYCHIC's Tank Heal ability, and eliminated my new tank GOBLIN THIEF. My monsters continued their useless attack on MYCELIC SLIPPPAWN, and GOBLIN PSYCHIC also eliminated VENARI SCOUT.

ROUND 3 & 4:

MYCELIC SLIPPPAWN eliminated KHMER PRINCESS and VAMPIRIC BLOSSOM became my new tank and recieved an attack from GOBLIN PSYCHIC and it got eliminated by MYCELIC SLIPPPAWN in the last round. And I lost.

Some points:

In this battle I got it wrong, and I should have used a monster stronger than HILL GIANT as a tank.
I was also unlucky to face MYCELIC SLIPPPAWN and Taunt ability.
I think HILL GIANT is not suitable as a tank in battles with high Mana Cap. It is only suitable for a low Mana Cap or to be placed in the last position to receive Sneak attacks so it can reduce the damage of those attacks due to its high health.
