Splinterlands Diary 10.05.22 - Djinn Oshannus

Hello, friends! It's a holiday weekend in Russia, so we're not sitting at home, but we went for a ride with friends in the country, we had a great Victory Day and today we are doing household chores, in between which we play Splinterlands.

For the last couple of days I've been tossing and turning between Gold I and Diamond III leagues, and yesterday's daily quest rewarded me with the awesome water mage Djinn Oshannus.

I play a lot with this elemental deck, and when mana allows I always use this card because it has great life, attack, and speed stats while costing me a lot.

For example, here's one of my favorite combos:

ALRIC STORMBRINGER summoner for enhancing magic attacks

On the first position is a powerful SEA MONSTER, with a powerful attack, great health, and the ability to regenerate

Followed by WAVE RUNNER, a very fast card with the ability to attack from the second position. I use the new FLYING SQUID more often, but this time I decided to spend my mana on a cooler card :)

In the middle, protected on both sides by CREEPING OOZE, to slow down the enemy and blitzkrieg. In addition, the Equalizer rule gives him a lot of health, and he can act as a shield if the first two cards can not withstand the enemy attacks.

On the fourth line is DJINN OSHANNUS. A strong mage with a great attack. My trump card in this fight.

Behind him, for increased defense against archers and cards with Sneak ability, is the very unappreciated VENARI WAVESMITH. His ability to increase shields, along with the Divine Shield rule works just fine.

Rounding out the combo is the even more powerful mage PHANTOM OF THE ABYSS, who is very hard to hit because of his high speed, and his powerful attacks few can resist.

I was up against a pretty strong opponent, with a level 6 summoner, the strongest CHAOS DRAGON, and a thoroughly pumped DJINN CHWALA, all supported by SPIRIT HOARDER, but it was a lot of fun. While my opponent was fighting with my first three positions, the wizards methodically took out the enemy cards one by one, so I'm very happy with this victory :)

Encouraged by the win, I unlocked a couple Chaos Legion packs and got a nice addition to my "neutral" deck, as well as raising my SUPPLY RUNNER, CHAOS AGENT, and XENITH MONK
