Hello, friends! The fun continues, and today is the end of another round of Guilds Brawl, in which I fight for team Splinterlands.ru.

This time I have a rather modest result - 4 wins out of 7 battles, but my losses are due to the fact that my opponent used SCARRED LLAMA MAGE, so I'm not too worried. It's certainly possible to beat him, but predicting that the opponent will use him is quite a tricky thing.

However, I've been using the Waka Spiritblade for a while now, and I like it more and more every fight. It's an ultimatum card with a great ability.

Let's start with him, because I won my first victory with him.

My lineup:

  • Waka Spiritblade, my opponent's poison card summoner;
  • Xenith Monk, capable of restoring health on the first position;
  • the incredibly fast Spineback Wolf in second position;
  • Another very fast Fallen Spectre mage, which is incredibly good with the Equalizer rule;
  • Haunted Spider and Whistlind Damon archer combos continue;
  • Corpse Fiend covers the rear. With his increased health he's a great living shield.

My opponent was smart enough to put an OWSTER ROTWELL summoner to repel magical attacks, but since I only had one mage, my main goal was to eliminate Ever-Hungry Skull and Silent Sha-Vi.

In the second battle, I used the Earth element, and my lineup looked like this:

  • Mylor Crowling summoner, giving cards the Thorns ability;
  • In the first position, a powerful Flesh Golem that can restore health;
  • Sand Worm on the second position, for a powerful attack on the rear;
  • The third position is occupied by Mycelic Slipspawn, which diverts ranged attacks to itself;
  • The fourth is Bertrol Gobson, a nimble gladiator;
  • fifth, the cunning Goblin Thief, who has excellent speed and attack parameters;
  • The mighty archer Spirit of The Forest completes the combo, with its excellent speed and impressive amount of life at a relatively high cost of summoning.

My opponent chose a mix of Dragons and Death elements, and staked on archers and mages protected by a powerful gladiator Xulax Nightwind, but my choice of snipers and sneak cards was much better, so while the "tanks" were fighting my cards confidently and methodically destroyed the enemy forces )

In the third game we had even more fun, and with limited mana we used the same Mylor Crowling summoners, but once again I focused on the quantitative advantage and used some cheap cards, so it worked very well and the Bertrol Gobson gladiator combined with Goblin Thief and a protected Flesh Golem showed just fine.

The large amount of mana and the Melee Mayhem rule in the fourth battle gave an opportunity to play with the element of fire, and the "heavyweights" went into action:

  • Yodin Zaku's summoner, which gives cards the Blast ability;
  • Molten Ogre, which lowers the strength of your opponent's melee attacks;
  • a devastating Chimney Wallstop, which you'd better not mess with :)
  • Charlok Minotaur, who never misses;
  • Rusty Android, in case the enemy decides to use mages;
  • Forgotten One, with a powerful attack and a strong shield;
  • And last but not least, the slow but extremely dangerous Grum Flameblade, which with its Bloodlust ability is a deadly threat to enemy decks.

If my opponent had at least a second level of cards, I would have had a hard time, but with such a "quality" advantage, the battle was very easy and it was too easy to win. Perhaps that's why I took the following losses for granted :)

In the end I got 12 points and 700 Merits as a reward, which I spent to buy the Gladius Case that contained a few regular gladiators and the rare Palidon Rakk.

Hopefully the next round will be just as interesting and I already tried a couple of new strategies to use gladiators in :)))
