Splinterlands Diary 24.01.22 - Magi Of Chaos

Hey friends, today was a pretty tough day, I'll tell you about it later, but for now I'm in a lucky league Gold II, I got a hundred DECs, a potion and a couple of usual cards Pelacor Bandit and Pelacor Conjurer for the daily quest.

Continuing to buy Chaos Legion packs today I got a golden Chaos Agent and a nice epic Magi of Chaos.

I have the Magi of Chaos at the first level so far and use it rather rarely, preferring the alternatives, but in some battles this archer is the best.

For example, in this battle with poisoned cards I decided to bet on magical attacks and cards with huge health - The Gorlodon, Gelatinous Cube (which is a great health boost at the cost of losses) and massive Cthulhu. To strengthen their attacks I put Magi of Chaos and Venari Bonesmith, and as a "tank" I put health restoring Haunted Spirit.

The enemy was very decent and balanced his ranged and close-range attacks, plus he included a rather dangerous Sand Worm in his attack on the rear, but my fighters repulsed him decently and even nice that the last word went to a rather weak Magi of Chaos.

I love this kind of fight, where every slip-up can be decisive and I'm very happy with my chosen strategy.

And now a bit about the unpleasant - my close friends @novair and @vados84 got sick with coronavirus, and since we often saw each other after the New Year celebrations, met almost every day, my wife and I had to go to the hospital to pass the tests.

We have no symptoms except a headache, so I hope that this disease will pass us by, and this winter we will have a mild, traditional cold.

Because of the workload of the hospital, I'll know the results in two days, so we're going into deep self-isolation.
