Splinterlands Diary 25.07.22 - Brawl Report

Hi, Hive! The creators of Splinterlands have said many times in their announcements that the cards from Gladius Case will be important in the near future, so it's nice to get back to Guild Brawls parses and talk a bit about my achievements.

Over the last month I've upgraded most of my gladiators to level 2 and I'm very happy that I can now win some Merits in ranked battles, which will greatly accelerate my progress in that direction, but in the last Guild Brawls I only had 3 battles, 2 of which I won handily.

In the first one I used the element of Water and chose the following lineup:

  • Alric Stormbringer, which enhances magical attacks;
  • Sea Monster with great health, a powerful attack, and the ability to heal in the first position;
  • The mighty and fast Djinn Oshannus in the second position;
  • Deeplurker to attack weak enemy cards on the third position;
  • The powerful mage Ruler of the Seas, reinforced by the summoner, on the fourth position;
  • Archer Gladiator Edith Emberstar at fifth (to properly pump up with Bloodlust);
  • Completed the combo with Azmare Harpoonist, a strong but seldom used archer. Very happy with its combination of speed and attack, and I try to use it more often in my strategies.

My opponent also chose Water, and used a very cool gladiator Tatiana Blayde, but my gladiator pumped up his parameters in the first two rounds, so it was very easy to win.

In the second battle I decided to bet on the element Earth because of the very modest amount of mana, and the following lineup of forces:

  • Mylor Crowling summoner, which gives cards the ability to reflect the damage they inflict;
  • A strong Flesh Golem, capable of restoring its health;
  • Fungus Fiend to distract enemy cards with Opportunity;
  • Creeping Ooze to slow down the enemy;
  • Sneak Gladiator Katrelba Gobson for a quick attack on the enemy's ranged positions;
  • Furious Chicken to cover the rear.

Given the Equalizer rule my main strike force was Katrelba Gobson, and even though the enemy summoner lowered her attack, she totally lived up to expectations :)

Happy to share the experience and see you on the virtual battlefields!
