Optimizing Collection Growth (Rental Costs, Returns, Break Evens)
Yah know, spare our time n $$$...
Ok, trying to apply some fundamental rationalization to that, costs will variate a lot, this was done testing situations of differents average costs for whole season, 700cp/dec; 600cp/dec; 500cp/dec; 400cp/dec; 300cp/dec; 200cp/dec; 100cp/dec. So everyone can also have notion of its own cost and returns.
Testing thoses for all league above silver III, and using average value of chests that are on SplinterCards site to check returns.
[Adding all daily quest chest quantity in a league multiplied by the season duration (15x) + how many Eos chests for this league, All that multiplyied by the relative season chest value would give the gross return, without considering relative cost per league. But then subtracted by it will give the total. So, the one that will give the best net result would be the optimum stage (Returns - Costs)].
Note that the chest value variates depending on cards market prices, but seens like they follow a proportinal deviation pattern, looks the fairest comparable metric, more factual. (So, chests values were setted according to this post's time and Returns are an estimation since they will change with market fluctuations).
For anyone in doubt how the chest value variates from league above silver, it's due to chaos legion packs having differents drop chances depending on which league is. And less potion chances when going up. Economy metas can also change, anyways... Its like this now:
Some details to take in consideration:
– Lots of the chest dec value is converted to cards (which is my focus on cp growth), for my xp dec return itself almost break even or not, or only go above than before if you get luck, so people should have a safe bankroll to be able to do that, to have all dec to rent for whole season on that league + eos before doing it, because if the person gets returns below average, it can breaks one's system. Even if higher leagues have better payouts, wouldn't be right to do it without a sustainable way.
– Im considerating only chest value return, but you will also win dec from winning matchs, thats a plus that is too tough to include together, depends how is the dec pool, how many matchs would you win during whole season, which league... Dec on winnings pays better on higher rank, pool supply variates also...
– Had to suppose that the player can pass all season in certain league, otherwise we couldn't calculate rewards in a pattern, would variate a lot from person to person. Even though probably few people can stay early season on champion (If in fact is the best return on cost), right?! Idk
– Idk how the variation of dec price would affect all that.
– So, needed to isolate theses variables, subjectivities, to make a proper factual base of comparation. Only on average cost for that league and returns.

If in doubt how to see your own average/total cost, you just go to Peakmonsters site, to "my cards" tab, on filter, in "owned" option select "no" (Detail: On "delegated" option, it wasn't able to select "no" together), right above in the site will show how much cp that isn't yours for how much DEC (so you discount delegated cp if so), you divide(÷) total cp / for total DEC spent and = will have average cost (thats also how we see card prices, so its a fair comparable metric to calculate average cost per league).
In the table above I just did the proportional cost for required cp per league. But you could just see your total daily cost and multiply (x) for 15 to have total season's cost. And if your rents variates a lot you would need to just keep adding it.

@memess.curator (I did this one and the cover, it was fun).
Damm, I was a lot curious to see the results. And Idk, differents conclusions can be taken. For sure it got distorted due to not counting match winnings, even more for higher leagues, where we saw some negative results, but that also means that you would have to compensate that on winnings to be profitable in thoses circunstances. However we can see that high cost on lower/mid leagues doesn't worth much too. And looks like in most cases, if you can keep your average cost or lower it, seens right to go upgrading on league. Also, if final results are similar, I think in higher league you would be able to convert more into cp growth. If the dec return isnt sustainable, people could also sell looted cards to be able to keep renting and mantain better gains (not fucking financial advice)... Seens like the game makes it to grow organicly, so cp growth will also adjust costs.
Also, there are differents strategies, like making 2 days missions with 1 day rent, however would be canceled a lot in cp bids, and so on... And would have no pattern to make this calc.
And Idk, we saw that its a lot of difference from 200cp/dec cost to 100cp/cost, its like 100% more.
Ok, that was interesting and now if costs or rewards changes, this makes easier to track. Feedbacks are welcome!!

Cool post, man! I wish they'd accept potions for renting cards, because that's all I've been getting at G3 lately =P
Yeah, colaterize potions. I got lots of packs on some seasons ago though, also on G3. Somehow we are getting luck by rng gods.
