# DuceCrypto's S146 - Splinter Stats Ranked Rewards Season 59 Report Card
I could politely call this season distracted from my point of view, since I was tremendously busy with EDM events to cover and a demanding extracurricular schedule at school during playoff season. Despite all this, it was my most productive Modern season in months, but I definitely took a small step back in tournament productivity. All the same, my combined SPS earnings are pushing $200/season, so the hype is back and very real!

My ranked play performance was a mixed bag this season. On paper, it looks rather nice, finishing in the Top100 of both ranked formats. But for the 2nd straight season, I finished outside the Top25 on the Wild leaderboard, which meant only 20K DEC for Top50 and missing out on the extra 20K DEC for Top25. I should have been paying closer attention to rating near the end of the season.
But I also have myself to blame, as there were a few stretches over the weekends when I thought I would be playing more Modern battles and might have left the energy bar on 50 overnight once or twice. Realistically I didn't cost myself more than 15 battles or so, but at the end of the season, it's always nice to have those few extra wins, those few extra rating points, and those few extra SPS & Glint! It is always kind of a feel bad moment when you see your energy bar on 50 (kind of like seeing your land storage at 100%)!
Well anyways, I'm proud of my modern finish since it is the first time I broke into Champion 2 in several months since I gave it renewed attention. I played 164 total battles and finished with close to a 58% win rate. The 11-battle win streak was pretty handy to blow through Diamond league early on, and allowed me to play in Champion for most of the season!
The bot did even better in wild, playing at a 61.5% win rate. I've been renting a handful of Beta and Unlimited cards to help me in ranked play as well as tournament events, which offer some of the best SPS rewards in the game!

These results only tell part of the story. Of course, there were many more events than just this, but sadly, I did a piss poor job of completing my tournament events in the middle couple weeks of November. Although many of these events show prize support, anything that shows 0 wins means I earned 0 SPS.
Instead, I ascertain my SPS tournament winnings by totaling all the SPS tournament prizes received via SPS currency activity. However, this method only shows me the amounts I've won with a link to the event, so I'm mostly focused on the amount won: 6,748.767 SPS!
I definitely could have earned more SPS (and saved DEC) by fleeing fewer battles, but as SPS creeps up in value, these tournaments are becoming increasingly lucrative and harder to ignore! Of the 12 events I won prizes in, I earned an average of 562.4 SPS per event!
Rewards Report
Earnt Tokens (Ranked Rewards)
Ranked Play Wins | Tokens Received |
---|---|
277 | ✨ 648068 Glint + ⭐5391.537 SPS |
Season Rewards Claimed | ✨ 0 Glint |
Glint Spent | ✨ (302500) Glint |
Glint season rewards will show in the season they are claimed.
My Glint from ranked play amounted to 833,225 which I obtained from Splinterlands' currency activity. I trust that the SPS calculations hold true. About 5.4K SPS for 277 ranked wins seems about right considering my Wild wins to Moderns wins was about 2:1.
By the averages, I earned 19.46 SPS and 3008 Glint per win in S146, which is nothing to sneeze at. My SPS stake is still a touch under 1M but I'm closing in on that goal, while I continue to add to my Modern GF and Wild RF collection when the opportunities present themselves.

I'm spending about 5K DEC per season in rentals of mostly key promo, alpha, and GF cards that are missing from my collection. It also helps tack on a bit extra rShare for Glint with the % value added for Alpha and Promo cards specifically!

SPS rewards on land are picking up as I take advantage of the waning days that SPS will be available for production using only grain as a resource. Soon the new resources will be added and more trade will be needed to collect the numbers necessary to mine SPS. Well, that's a headache I'd happily put off forever, but these land barons are hellbent on adding much more complexity to the mix. I wonder if the added resources will create more demand and tie up more DEC as owners allocate more card assets to land production.
Land aside, staking is still bringing in over 1K SPS each season, but even this can't go on forever. The SPS whitepaper has less than 2 years left in the token emission schedule, and I'm sure there will be contentious discussions in Discord about the different proposals to codify how SPS rewards will work after the token print run has finished. I am excited for the day when all the SPS has been printed and it is upon the governing body of SPS holders to decide how our SPSDAO will navigate rewards for ranked play, tournaments, and license holders/validators.
Tier 5 brawl rewards still average over 300 SPS each cycle, which provides a nice income stream during the season. I'd like to see my total SPS rewards closer to 10K, but now that most of my Glint is going to Gold Foil draws instead of extra ranked battles, that seems a bit out of reach unless I stake more SPS or deploy PP on land. Not going to happen, as I reserve my tournament winnings for securing more promo cards!
All in all, another solid season. I secured DEC from the Wild leaderboard to pay for my wild pass, staked SPS, and rental fees. I made a combined 15360 SPS from rewards and tournament prizes. Based on today's spot price of 0.0102 USD, that's $156 in earned SPS, not to mention all the cards, Glint, merits and potions accrued from prize chests and the reward shop. My soulbound GF Rebellion collection continues to grow every season as I look to complete the set of commons, rares, and epics. The 600K price tag on legendaries will have to wait while I finish the other rarities first! Until next time...
