I bought an validator node license, in the presale to be exact. I had a feeling that this could be a great opportunity to gain some capital in the game. I sold some of my stocks to be able to afford one. It cost me around $1500 dollars at the time, because of the high voucher price. Let’s see how we are doing:

Wat is a validator node license?

A validator node will be a program that will confirm SPS transactions. The best voted validators will get rewards for the portion of the votes that they get. These votes will be given out by SPS stakeholders. But because of this vote system, only the top voted validators will earn significant rewards.
That’s where the validator node licenses come in. When you buy a license, u are entitled to a certain pool of rewards. In that way people are still incentivized to run a node. And you can earn from running the node software. The software is not yet running, but the rewards are given out to node holders. The pool consists of 20,000 vouchers everyday and also SPS rewards distributed equally from the 3,375,000 SPS monthly.

How am I doing?

I am doing very well, how nice of you to ask. My validator node? Also doing great. I was been hoarding all of my vouchers until the riftwatcher sale. Sold some of them for $1,00! That money I used to buy Riftwatcher packs and buy cards. I sold about 200 vouchers for $1,00. and the other 300 for around $0,75. That comes to a $425 profit that I used for my Splinterlands empire!

Also nice to mention is the Validator node price has increased to $2000. That means also a $500 unrealised gain on the validator node license. So that means my $1500 dollar investment has earned me almost $1000 dollars in a couple of months. Although the return from vouchers and SPS are slowly decreasing, due to more validators being sold. The gains from it are significant and gives me a passive income to use in any way I see fit in the game!
