[EN/PT] OPENING 12 CHAOS LEGION PACKS FROM A CARD TRADE. WORTH IT?

Hello Splinterlands Enthusiasts! While many of you are excited about Splinterlands' new reward system. I'm excited about trading a card that made it possible for me to acquire a Plot Land.

As the only asset I have in Splinterlands are the NFTs cards, I had already thought about the possibility of selling any card or set of cards to acquire at least one Land Plot.

Well, with these latest Spliterlands updates the cards have increased in value and I ended up selling a card that I had no intention of selling in the short term. So, the winner was the Summoner Quix The Devious, in gold foil.

When I purchased this card I paid $245 and sold it for $349, making a small profit of $86.55 already discounting the 5% Market fee, the sale record can be seen in the image below and unfortunately I couldn't get it from Peakmonsters, but I write everything down in an excel spreadsheet.

My idea was to exchange Quix The Devious gold foil for the regular of the same level. So, as you can see in the image below I spent $88.95 on the regular summoner.

Land Plot purchased for 444.8 HIVEs, which at the time of purchase was priced at $0.47 (5/29/2022), equivalent to approximately $209, the purchase transaction id was c1643dfaca2bda9af4024a73e766a63ba4fcd15b.

As the SPS airdrop is running out, there are exactly 55 days left at the moment, the ideal is to keep an eye on the next steps of Spliterlands: Land Expansion and the Validator Node License. It is not yet known what will happen to the Spliterlands economy when this happens, but those who believe in the project in the long term are interesting to have these items.

From this exchange of assets I had about $36 left, so I decided to take a chance and buy 12 Legion chaos packs on hive-engine, because we can buy packs for about $3. However, luck didn't smile on me and the 12 packs turned into 60 cards valued at the Market for $33.97.

Analyzing the price paid for the packs ($36) and the value of the cards ($33.97) we immediately see that we are at a loss or almost zero to zero. If we analyze the Collection Power (CP) of this set of cards we get 1805 CP and we can have an even worse view of the situation.

Doing a quick calculation using Peakmonster using the cheapest rare card quoted on the Market at the moment we see that it is being sold at $0.123 and has 20 CP the division of the $/CP will be equal to 0.00615 and we multiply this value by the 1805 CP that we get we would spend about $11 to reach the same CP. Doing the same calculation for a legendary card we arrive at the value of $9.61.

That is, if you are looking to increase your CP, buying packs is a bad choice, besides buying directly from the market we can choose the cards we want. However, in my case I wasn't interested in CP, as I already have enough to battle in the league of my interest, silver 1.

I don't know if I made the right choice to trade my Quix The Devious gold foil for a regular one and a Land Plot, only time will tell. With these updates I'm much more confident about the future of @spliterlands.

[PT] ABRINDO 12 PACKS CHAOS LEGION A PARTIR DE UM TRADE DE CARTAS. VALE A PENA?

Olá entusiastas de Splinterlands! Enquanto muito de vocês estão animados com o novo sistema de recompensas de Splinterlands. Eu estou animado com o trade de uma carta que mim possibilitou adquirir uma Plot Land.

Como o único ativo que possuo em Splinterlands são as cartas NFTs já havia pensado na possibilidade de vender alguma carta ou conjunto de cartas para adquirir pelo menos uma Land Plot.

Pois bem, com essas últimas atualizações de Spliterlands as cartas valorizaram e acabei vendendo uma carta que não tinha a intensão de vender no curto prazo. Então, o contemplado foi o Summoner Quix The Devious, em folha de ouro.

Quando adquirir está carta paguei $245 e vendi por $349, tendo um pequeno lucro de $86.55 já descontando a taxa do Market de 5%, o registro de venda pode ser visto na imagem abaixo e de compra infelizmente não consegui obter na Peakmonsters, mas anoto tudo em uma planilha do excel.

Minha ideia foi trocar Quix The Devious folha de ouro pelo regular de mesmo nível. Então, como pode-se observar na imagem abaixo gastei $88.95 no summoner regular.

Desta permuta de ativos me restou cerca de $36 que resolvi optar pela sorte e comprar 12 packs chaos Legion na hive-engine, pois podemos comprar packs por cerca de $3. Porém, a sorte não sorriu para mim e os 12 packs transforam-se em 60 cartas avaliadas no Market por $33.97.

Analisando o preço pago pelos packs ($36) e o valor das cartas ($33.97) de imediato já vemos que ficamos no prejuízo ou quase no zero a zero. Se analisamos o Collection Power (CP) deste conjunto de cartas obtemos 1805 CP e podemos ter uma ótica da situação ainda pior.

Fazendo uma conta rápida utilizando o Peakmonster utilizando a carta rara mais barata cotada no Market no momento vemos que ela está sendo vendida a $0.123 e possui 20 CP a divisão do $/CP será igual a 0.00615 e multiplicamos esse valor pelos 1805 CP que obtemos gastaríamos cerca de $11 para alcançar o mesmo CP. Fazendo o mesmo calculo para uma carta lendária chegamos ao valor de $ 9.61.

Ou seja, se você está almejando aumentar seu CP é uma péssima escolha a compra de packs, além do mais comprando diretamente no market podemos escolher as cartas que desejamos. Porém, no meu caso não estava interessado no CP, pois já possuo o suficiente para batalhar na liga de meu interesse, prata 1.

Não sei se fiz a escolha certa em troca meu Quix The Devious folha de ouro por um regular e uma Land Plot, isto só o tempo dirá. Com essas atualização estou muito mais confiante com o futuro de @spliterlands.
