Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge - Ant Miners
Hey folks π Graham here.
Welcome to another Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge. Here is the original post if you want to enter a battle yourselves.
This week we have the Fire Splinter monster known as Ant Miners.
This is a monster I rarely use due to the low stats.
Kobolds have long been considered the most skilled miners in the land. Their small stature and inherent bravery allows them to squeeze into small and risky spaces, and they are very good with tools. Recently however, the Kobolds have apparently dug too deep into the crust beneath the Molten Mountains. This has allowed an undiscovered race of Fire Ants to breach the surface. These Ants are each about the size of a manβs fist, not large enough individually to pose a threat to anyone, but they are very good at teamwork and they operate through a shared hive mind. The Ant Miners carry tiny tools, which they use to enhance their already-formidable digging skills. They always travel in packs and lines; if you see a line of Ant Miners approaching your home, do not attempt to fight. Itβs best to just give up your home.
Edition: REWARD
Rarity: COMMON
Element: FIRE
ATTACK: MELEE
ABILITIES: Scavenger at level 1; Shield at level 6
This is a 30 mana level battle with all splinters allowed except Dragon.
I have 6 cards in this battle against 6!
Fire vs Death
Ruleset = Unprotected Monsters + Close Range
This is one of the best summoners out there as he grants the Blast ability to all monsters which basically deals out double damage.
He also grants +1 Ranged Attack and +1 Health! I use him for all my fire battles with plenty of ranged attack monsters.
First Place: Goblin Mech I have my all time favourite tank Goblin Mech up front. This is usually the case in most of my battles.
This is a really great melee attack monster with amazingly high stats.
I have a level 5 Gold card giving him 5 hit points, 3 Speed points, 6 Armour points and 8 Health points!
Second Place: Pyromancer This is a great ranged attack monster with some impressive stats. It has 2 hit points, 5 health and 2 speed. When he receives the buffs from Yodin he becomes a formidable opponent.
Third Place: Ettin Spearman
This is another great ranged attack monster I always use with Yodin. After he receives his buffs he will have a massive 4 hit points and 10 health!
Fourth Place: Ant Miners.
This is a monster I rarely use and I sneaked it in here for this challenge!
We will see how well it performs.
Sandworm
At the rear we have the mighty Sandworm. I love this monster and not just because of the whole Dune inspired concept π
The Sandworm will use his Sneak attack to pick of the enemies from the rear!
Furious Chicken
Never forget your Chicken!!
The chicken will act as cannon fodder for any sneak attacks from the enemy.
Always willing to lay down her life for the greater good :)
As the warriors enter the arena we get our first look at the enemy. When you consider the numbers I don't think I have to much too worry about really even though my opponent has a great Summoner. The enemies monsters are all only level 1 and 2 whereas I have 1 level 5, 2 level 4, 1 level 3.
Round 1 begins after all the buffs and debuffs have been granted with Soulstorm and Dark Enchantress both getting hits in at my Goblin Mech.
He is then destroyed by a third hit from Phantom Soldier! This is a bit worrying.
Ettin Spearman retaliates by destroying two enemy monsters with one attack using the Blast ability!!
Sandworm now does the same taking out two enemy monsters using the Blast ability!!
This has guaranteed my success as the enemy only has two monsters left on the battlefield!
Round 2 begins with the enemies Dark Enchantress destroying my Pyromancer.
Ettin Spearman takes a hit from Phantom Soldier but then goes on to kill Dark Enchantress!
The round ends with Sandworm getting a good hit in at Phantom Soldier.
Round 3 ends very quickly with Ettin Spearman destroying Phantom Soldier
To be honest I probably won't use the ant miner card like this again. It never really helped in any way!
Peace, G.
