End of Season Disappointment: Credit and Potions Only?!
UPDATE: My son told me I was looking at these rewards all wrong. I shouldn't be disapointed. I should be excited.
Why?
Because 617 Credits means I can go into the Marketplace and buy the cards I've been wanting for a while. Exploding Rats has been on my wish list for a while now. And because I received a generous amount of Credits, I can can now pick one up. Which is exciting indeed! Here is my new Exploding Rats card. Which has made me happy.
This just goes to show that changing my perspective changed the way I valued my rewards. So big thanks to my son for being wise beyond his years. And yes also thanks to the @Splinterlands team for keeping this 50+ woman so engaged with the platform that I've got feelings about it. ;-)

As much as I've been fine with receiving Credits instead of Dark Energy Crystals (DEC) and as much as potions are a joy kill at the end of each Daily Quest, I was NOT prepared for only receiving Credits and Potions for my entire End of Season Rewards.
Not a single card?! Really? I get that I'm in the lowly Bronze League. I'm working on growing my standing, but it's a grind. A fun grind. But a grind none the less. I can tell you that today the excitement and shine of End of Season is definitley dimmed.
However, I'm a believer in "Never Give Up, Never Surrender" so I will persevere. I will turn those Credits into card purchases which will increase my Power which will work towards earning me the opportunity to win my way into Silver League. So, I'll keep grinding away and hope for better End of Season Rewards in the future.
It's rough at first but you're already finding new ways to traverse the landscape in Splinterlands. Great job! With Chaos Legion coming out we're going to see so many different combinations it'll turn players heads around.
So true. Chaos Legion has all of us excited. It's going to be interesting to see how the game evolves.

Thanks for the encouragement. :-) Splinterlands is such a great concept of merging the ability to play AND earn. Plus the actual game is fun and challenging. I'm not giving up. Eventually I'll make my way out of Bronze League and into Silver. I just have to keep playing the Daily Quests and build up my deck and in-game assets.
