Feeding Cub With DEC

avatar

As @libertycrypto27 suggested in his excellent article The best way to buy CUB using HIVE tokens: DEC / Il miglior modo per comprare CUB utilizzando i token HIVE: DEC (ENG/ITA), probably the most straightforward way from liquid $HIVE and Hive_Engine tokens to @cubfinance is through $DEC withdrawal from @splinterlands to your BSC address.

You end up with DEC tokens in your #cubfinance wallet. There you can swap them for your desired final token to feed the Cub with, ie. to stake the token in your farm or den of choice.

In this case, my token of choice was $CUB. It is interesting to see the path the swap travels from $DEC to $CUB.

Yes, it makes two hops through PancakeSwap router. From $DEC to $BUSD to $CUB. Maybe next time I will swap $DEC directly to $BUSD and save few cents on transaction fees :)

As you can see I made a small transfer to re-test the case. It works flawlessly.

Now it's time to start selling @splinterlands cards again and make good use of $DEC received from the sales. I'll let you know about the cards on sale in a separate article.

Ok, let's start with a teaser. Fallen Specter is on sale. Grab it.

Good luck with your #defi endeavors, my friends.

Better and better

Ufff Cub and Splinterlands. Two things that have thus far evaded my understanding. I got super interested in cub but there was some sort of issue with my wallet- or my understanding of what to do.. probably the latter. I remember thinking it wasn't working, but I'm probably just too crypto-dumb to have been doing it properly.

As for Splinterlands, I bought some cards awhile ago and was super interested in the game. But I either have garbage cards or just don't know how to play.. again I'm gonna go with the latter 😂

But thanks for bringing this back to my attention. I have wanted to get into cub. Hopefully I'll find some time today to get into it a little bit

Good luck on both accounts. I know it can be very frustrating.

I am no longer an expert on new editions of Splinterlands cards. My collection consisted almost entirely of alpha and beta edition cards. The new lot is beyond my interest.

As for CubFinance, there are many good tutorials her eon @LeoFinance on how to get started.

The first step, in any case, is Metamas with a new account on the Binance Smart Chain network. Then you connect this address to CubFinance and you are ready to go :)

Yeah, I bought a few alpha/beta packs awhile ago and I think I may have missed the opportunity to get really into it, without real investment anyways, which isn't really in the cards(pun unintended) for me right now. I thought about selling the ones I have but I'm not totally giving up on it just yet because it does seem like a REALLY fun game; I just need better cards. Maybe someday..

And yeah, metamask. I think that's where my troubles stemmed from. I don't think I have my metamask set up correctly(I don't know if I've ever even used it, I just have it). I will look for some leo tutorials. Thanks for the advice!

Splinterlands is a great game. The best on HIve and probably the best on any blockchain too.

I simply didn't like the way the rules have changed. Also, I didn0t like how much time I invested in playing it. So I made a decision to move on without the game :)

I might do a short metamask/cubfinance tutorial one of these days. You are not the first to ask about it.

I simply didn't like the way the rules have changed.

I guess I missed this part. I bought my packs awhile ago but had almost forgotten about them; hence I didn't play the game until these last few weeks. I actually was surprised to see I had 90 or so cards when I went to the website. I barely remember purchasing them nor do I remember at what phase I did. But, nonetheless, no matter what strategy I try I seem to lose. Although, I've probably only played like 15-20 battles.

I would certainly be excited for a tutorial, but I'm not pressing it. I'm sure I can figure it out. But I'm also sure there would be many who would find that very valuable should you ever decide to do it!

Things are changing in a big way. There are so many more options of what to do with our tokens than there was even a year ago.

We are seeing expansion happening so rapidly that those who are paying attention are finding ways to start increasing their financial position.

This is the first step towards freedom.

Good luck with the card sales.

Thanks.

Yes, things are changing so quickly it's hard to keep up with all the possibilities. That's why a site like LeoFinance is even more valuable.

Ps: I've already sold most of the gold foil cards. The profit went into $LEO stake :)

I had some of my DEC paired into a farm for a while, but I just pulled it out and moved it back to Splinterlands. I used it to buy about 20 packs of cards. I got 4 legendary cards out of those 20 packs, so I think I did pretty well.

If you are serious about your Splinterlands gaming then you did great, congrats.

I decided to quit the game in a soft way. I don't like the new leveling up rules.

I don't play it like I used to, but I figured I would at least hold out until the lands are released and we see how all of that plays out. After that, I might reconsider.

Good luck with the lands then. I skipped that too, intentionally. You can't play every game there is all the time :)

Actually, after spending too much time on Hive games, my only serious gaming right now is #risingstar.

Thanks! I have been playing risingstar as well. Growth is pretty slow. I don't think it will be the revenue stream for me that splinterlands had been. Most of my serious NFT stuff I do over on WAX though.

#risingstar can be a steady yet small revenue stream if you buy the Starbits Millionaire card. Then you do its mission daily to get 10,000 $Starbits.

I keep the score. With 1 M $Starbits invested I already took out 1,420,004 $Starbits. This was in five months period. I also converted 1,572,679 $Starbits (Millionaire card income plus profit from the missions) and received 432 $HIVE in total. It's not much yet better than nothing :)

I have thought about going for the millionaire card, but I think it would take me months to get there. I am only level 150 or something like that. I was late to the game.

Hmm, I don't think that level has anything to do with it. I am at level 90 and have the card for five months already. You simply stack 1 million $Starbits in your Hive-Engine wallet and tell Jux about it :)

Hopefully the card is still available

Did you stack those Starbits from the game or did you buy some on the market?

Both. I bought them with gains from Hive and other H-E tokens. It was an inside job :)

The best thing is that I can always sell this million. OK, the price and market depth is an issue yet it is a capital ready to be converted any time I decide to.

Yeah, I have been trying to just do everything in-game without putting in any extra funds. That has made growth fairly slow for me.

I'm not so sure if it is a good time to stack DEC, isn't it basically pegged to $1 and that's where it is now. If so there's no upside potential.

Possibly you're better off holding onto your cards given that you can pay for them in so many other tokens there seems little point in DEC maybe?

I am not stacking $DEC. I am using it to buy $CUB and $BUSD and add them to LP.

I simply wanted to test the most straightforward route from Hive-Engine to CubFinance. It has too many stops yet it's doable with several clicks and almost no fees.

Upside potential lies in enlarging my LP stake :)
