Why you should consider blockchain gaming? Simple, it can be very profitable, and this while you are just gaming!

Before I will tell you more, let me give you some more motivation. Yesterday, I sold a card in a game called splinterlands. I realized that I won this game in a reward chest (more on that later) 6 months ago, at that time, the card was worth $15. A nice reward already because I earned this without a real investment (I invested $20 in the game at that point).

So, how much did I sell it for 6 months later?

$389.9!

As you can see on the image below:

And this is an image from when I earned this reward:

As you can see, waiting 6 months before actually selling this card was a really good decision. I decided to sell it now because there is a big release of new cards coming (which may affect prices of the existing cards - but no one can predict the future) and because I believe in grabbing profits along the way.

However, I'm definitely still bullish on the game and all game-related assets.

Why you should play

  1. Money
Ok, the reason is very simple, there is a lot of opportunity to make a lot of money without a huge investment. Sure, you won't earn hundreds of dollars in a couple of days, but with some perspective you can see that you can earn a lot of money in the long run. Also, you can get started with a very small initial investment and just play 20 minutes every day. After half a year you might have earned a significant amount of money. This is exactly what I did and what happened to me.

  2. Fun
Alright, pretty simple, playing games is fun right? The fact that you can earn while doing it makes it even more fun. Also, there is more to it than just gaming, often you have the possibility to rent NFTs, either to earn more crypto or to boost your gaming carreer or you can make money by simply talk about the games.

  3. We are still in an early phase
The most popular game right now has a huge market cap (axie infinity). However, overall, I believe we are still in an early phase. There are so many new games coming out right now, it reminds me a bit of ICO's back in 2017. You should be carefull, especially when you want to invest in brand new games, but at the same time there is a lot of opportunity. Another reason I like splinterlands atm, they have a huge playerbase, but are still nowhere as big as Axie and have a lot of potential for more growth.

  4. It's easier to predict markets when they are game related
Alright, this might be more of a personal argument. But for me, it has been a lot easier to predict prices of functional NFTs (cards that you can use in-game) than it is predicting the price of a coin. I won't go to far into detail with this one, but just know that if you have enough knowledge and information about a game you might get really good at making predictions.

What you should play

A very personal topic ofcourse, this depends on your preference and there are a lot of games to chose from. That being said, let me quickly share my experiences.

  1. splinterlands
The game that I have already mentioned multiple times, splinterlands is still my favourite blockchain at the moment. It's a semi-passive card game where you collect and battle NFTs and its build on the HIVE blockchain. It's the game that I have played the most and was the most profitable for me. Would recommend!
  2. Rising star
Rising star is more like a gamified faucet than a game, but it's really easy to join and earn some starbits (their cryptocurrency). It's also built on the HIVE blockchain and is simply put about music.
  3. Gods unchained
The best comparison would be to compare this game to heartstone. The only difference is that you can earn money with this game. They do a lot of events etc and it's actually quite profitable as a beginner
  4. Lost relics
Lost relics is a hack and slash action rpg where you can find blockchain items in dungeons. It's a pretty cool concept and I can see a lot of potential. However, I do remember the game having some issues and feeling a bit repetetive back when I played it, but I am confident that these issues will (or are) be fixed.
