Splinterlands Daily Focus : Defense

Hey guys.. Mingalar par မင်္ဂလာပါ..
Today focus is Defense, which mean for focus points, I need to use cards with shield or shield repair. The focus should be relatively easy because, there are variety of ways to use cards with shield. But in reality, I had to play quite a lot of battles to get 2 focus chest. My mana dropped to just over 50%. One of the reason I lost some battle is I tried to use own or rented cards so that I don't get penalize for it. Although there were a few note worthy battles, I'd like to share the last battle.

It was Water vs Water splinter. The rules were Armored Up and Up close & Personal and mana cap was 34. There were 3 splinter to choose from namely Water, Earth and Death splinters and we both used Water splinter. As the battle was melee only battle, I was sure enemy would use Demoralize ability. As I don't own that card and not rented, I decided not to use worrying I'd be penalized for it.

_{As expected, Demoralize card was used on the opposite side. But I had 5 attacking cards against only 3 attacking cards initially.}

_{Nothing much happened in the 1st round since both side busy tackling the shields.}

_{The fist causality of the battle happened in the second round. It was a useless card anyhow. Sea Monster had a chance to knock out Serpent of Eld in the 2nd round but enemy dodged the attack.}

_{Sea Monster was knocked out early in round-3 and Serpent of Eld was eliminated at the end of the round.}

_{Now my Flying Squid became the tank and Tide Biter stepped to the second place and with Reach ability, it was able to attack. Now, 4 attacking cards vs 2, but total attack is still the same.}

_{As enemy. Deeplurker was the last card and became weakest card, both Uraeus and my Deeplurker targeted while first 2 cards focused on the enemy tank.}

_{After eliminating enemy Deeplurker, only 1 card is attacking on the opposite side while I still had all 3. It is just a matter of time to defeat all.}

_{Enemy Flying Squid was knocked out in round-8.}

_{I just took one more round to secure the win.}

I got pretty decent focus points for the battle since I was not penalized. Although I thought I'd get additional % for focus card, it seemed it doesn't count the shield provided by rule for additional %. This final battle gave me enough focus points to get 2 focus chests.

As usual, nothing interesting things came up from the focus chest. I think I hardly get good rewards from the focus chests.
