Share Your Battle: Scavo Firebolte Is Here To Put Enemy's World On Fire 🔥
Hello my loving Hivers and Splinterlanders,
Namaste from India.
How are you all? I hope you all are doing great.
This week I played some interesting battles in Splinterlands. Two intense matches got draw (so frustrating). I won a few battles that I thought I will lose.
I'll write a blog about those battles later this week.
So, it's another weekly share your battle challenge running, and this week's featuring monster is Scavo Firebolt .
I'm here with an interesting battle to share with you guys using Scavo Firebolt in my team.
Lets start then.
I played a few battles with Scavo Firebolt in my team and won some. But in those battles, Scavo Firebolt has not played a significant role.
I keep playing until I won this perfect match where Scavo Firebolt played the major role for winning. I'll talk about that battle in this article.
But first lets take a look at our feature player of the week, the SCAVO FIREBOLT.
SCAVO FIREBOLT is a Rare card from Fire splinter card of Chaos Legion edition. It's also a base card. This means you can play with card for free.
Stats for this card are mediocre.
With 4 mana cost, this monster has 2 health, 2 ranged attack and 4 health in level 1. When this card reaches level 6, the knockout ability unlocks.
My summoners are level 1 and 2 only and I only use level 1 of this monster.
When is the best time (and summoner) to use Scavo Firebolt?
You can use this card effectively in a few ruleset. Like low mana cap battles and little league. Or you can use this monster with Yodin Zaku. Or with close range and unprotected ruleset.
As I said earlier, I played a few battles with this card in my team, and I'll talk here about the most interesting battle.
THE BATTLE
I played 5 battles with Scavo Firebolt in my team, and the battle I'm sharing here, is the most interesting battle out of 5.
So in this blog, I'll talk about my strategy, team and line-up and battle result with you guys.
Lets start then guys..
Mana Cap: 54
Ruleset:
Holy Protection: All Monsters Have The Divine Shield Ability.
Little League: Only Monsters & Summoners That Cost 4 Mana Or Less May Be Used In Battles.
Active Splinter - Fire, Water, Death
My Strategy and Team Setup
Little league and 54 mana cap limit, what a mismatch. But it is, what it is and I had to create my team according to it.
I was quite sure that my opponent will use Fire splinter, but I had to make a team that can defeat if he use other splinter too.
As it was little league, we both don't have much choice of cards.
I decided to go with Pyre as the summoner this time and not Tarsa. Because, in little league, speed plays a major role. If you can attack your opponent first and kill one or two card before he kill your cards, you definitely gain some advantage.
Taking into consideration that opponent will use Fire splinter with Tarsa as summoner, I had to create my team accordingly.
As Serpentine Spy (with opportunity ability) and Uraeus (with sneak ability) are two most used cards with Tarsa, I had put a card in the last position to counter Uraeus's attack.
Hence, I used Antoid Platoon and Spirit Hoarder to help Antoid Platoon last long.
In the first position I used Cerberus as tank. Its heal ability will help to survive this monster a few more extra rounds.
I also used Serpentine Spy and Uraeus. And Scavo Firebolt as the supporting monster.
So this is my team setup -
Summoner
PYRE: Rare Fire summoner has ability to increase speed of all friendly monster. I used this summoner in almost all battles in little league ruleset to get speed advantage over opponent.
1st Position
CERBERUS: A 4 mana healing ability monster with 2 melee attack, 3 speed and 5 health. Best tank one can get in little league ruleset.
2nd Position
SERPENTINE SPY: A very fragile but powerful monster of 3 mana cost with 2 melee attack, 3 speed and only 1 health.
You have to have speed advantage to max use of this monster.
3rd Position
URAEUS: Very useful neutral monster of 3 mana cost with 2 melee attack, 2 speed and 2 health with 1 shield. It plays very crucial role in every battle due to its sneak ability.
I use this card in almost all low mana cap battle and in little league battle, if available.
4th Position
SPIRIT HOARDER: A very important monster in little league ruleset of 3 mana cost with 1 magic attack, 1 speed and 3 health.
But the main key point of using this card is its ability to backline monster. Synergies this card with a monster with shield ability, and you're good to go to defense opponent's sneak monsters.
This card played an important role in this battle. Watch the battle to see how.
5th Position
SCAVO FIREBOLT: Another important monster in the little league ruleset. Cost of 4 man, this monster has 2 ranged attack, 2 speed and 4 health.
Protect it from sneak attack from the back and you're ready to deal some good damage to opponent's team.
6th Position
ANTOID PLATOON: 4 mana cost monster with 1 melee attack, 1 speed, 3 health and 2 armor. But main ability is shield which reduce the damage from melee and ranged attack.
Best monster for in the tank position or in the last position.
Again, I made my team with 21 mana cost in total though the mana cap was 54.
Now it's time to put opponent's world (team) on fire.. It's show time.. It's battle time..
The Battle Begins
Team submission
* Round 01 *
In the beginning of round 1, each monsters from both sides missed attacks due to divine shield ruleset. My monsters had speed advantage, so they attacked first.
However, in the first round, there's no casualties from either teams.
* Round 02 *
Starting round 2, both the teams lose 1 monster each. Thanks to heal ability of Cerberus, it managed to last long for another round.
It's now 5x5 battle.
Moving on to next round.
* Round 03 *
Round 3 started with losing the tank cards of both the teams. My Spirit Hoarder did it's job very good and the Antoid Platoon seems stable for the next round.
* Round 04 *
Beginning of round 4, opponent lose another card. Now it's 4x3 battle.
My opponent has 3 cards now with good attack power. But I have the speed advantage.
Out can easily predict the outcome of this battle. But anything can happen. It's Splinterlands.
So let see to the end.
* Round 05 *
Starting round 5, my opponent lose his highest attack card, the Serpentine Spy. I lose my Uraeus too.
The Spirit Hoarder again gets my back (literally), and the Antoid Platoon to its maximum health.
Again, my opponent has 2 cards that has greater attack power than my cards. But I have speed advantage and an extra card than him.
Moving to the 6th round.
* Round 06 *
Round 6 starts with opponent losing his Kobold Miner and he left with only 1 card. Where as I'm still 3 cards strong.
His Uraeus did attacked my Spirit Hoarder, but it got missed due to divine shield ruleset.
* Round 07 *
And the final round of this battle, the round 7.
Our featured monster Scavo Firebolt finished the battle with its final blow to opponent's Uraeus.
And the winner is @furiousfighter

*Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
Yes, my strategy worked great for this battle. And what I experienced, speed advantage works always.
If it's not for the battle challenge sake, I may use water splinter with Kelya Frendul as the summoner.
In this way, both the advantages, speed and armor, would applicable to my monsters.
*What I like about Scavo Firebolt, and what not..
Nothing is non-likable for Scavo Firebolt. With only 4 mana cost, this monster has 2 ranged attack, 2 speed and 4 health, which is pretty good if you ask me.
The only drawback is of this card is to unlock ability, you have to level up this monster to level 6 and majority of players doesn't have summoner that high level.
The Fire and the Life are the less used splinters for me. And even I use Fire splinter, I rarely use any ranged attack monster with it as Fire splinter filled with many good melee attack and magic attack monsters.
But this may change in some situation like little league or unprotected ruleset.
Also, if you have Yodin Zaku in your arsenal, this little guy Scavo Firebolt is a must use monster for you.
So this is it guys. That's all for today.
I just love writing more and more about this awesome game Splinterlands.
