Rules

Let’s set up some rules first! I will assume that you already have some summoners and might already leveled them up a bit. If not it is not the end of the world but owning at least one summoner of each Splinter on level one should be the goal here before turning your interest towards actual monster cards as well. With this being said, you can buy and play the following monsters even without owning a summoner, you will just get a little bit less rewards than everyone else.

Furthermore, my goal is to make these investments as efficient as possible. This is why I will try to stay in a budget of around 20$. If we are a little bit over in the end it is probably due to price volatility :P. Anyways, enough with the pre-talk and let’s jump right into the first three Splinters for today!

Life

Time Mage

Let’s start with the Life Splinter as we already covered Fire, Earth and Water in the previous article. One of my most favorite cards here is the Time Mage. I think it is a very powerful card because of its Ability to slow down the opponent’s monster. Additionally to that, it is very fast itself and is a Magic attacker which gives him the opportunity to deal good damage straight away.

With higher levels it even has the opportunity to remove the armor of its target, making it more easy for the follow up attacks to destroy the tank. Not only that but with a potential 3 mana attack, this card is certainly able to do some game changing damage. For around 0.20 USD this card is really a bargain and should not be missed in any deck.

Pelacor Arbalest

Next up we have the Pelacor Arbalest. This card is very strong when combined with General Sloan as it will get additionally Ranged Attack. In its basic level this card is dealing 2 damage which gets increased to 3. What’s more is that this card has the double strike ability. This ultimately means that it is able to deal up to 6 damage in one single turn. With higher levels this cards gets the flying ability which improves the survival chances of this card, especially during Earthquake Battles! For around 0.20 USD this card is equally priced like the Time Mage and could be seen as great combination.

Chaos Knight

Last but not least, we have the Chaos Knight. The Life Splinter has several great tanks, but Uriel as well as the Shield Bearer are very expensive for our budget. This is why we need to search for a cheap alternative which would be the Chaos Knight. Yes it does not come with a ton of health but with the Shield Ability, 3 Armor and 4 Health are more than enough to hold back a few rounds of attack, especially if we have supporting units that are able to heal and repair this tank. With higher levels this card gets up to 6 health and 5 armor which increases the strength of this card exponentially and for a price of just 0.05 USD this card is truly a cheap alternative to all the other 10 USD tanks.

Death

Cursed Windeku

Moving on to one of the most interesting Splinters in the game: Death. I think this Element has a lot of potential and especially in higher levels a lot of interesting combination possibilities. But because we are looking trough the beginner’s eye we will take a look at the absolute must haves. The first one being without a doubt the Cursed Windeku! With 9 health, 3 speed, 2 attack and the Thorns Ability, this card is looking to find an equally good tank out there! Well there is none in this price range! For just 0.55 USD you can get this card on the market and it is worth every 55 of its pennies! With higher levels this card even gets the Self-Heal Ability and can even Slow down our opponents which is very important in the end game!

Bild4.png

Magi Necrosi

Moving away from a tank and towards some finishers and damage dealers! Number one on this list is a magic attacker with the Snipe Ability that can not get Sneak Attacked. I think this combination is very powerful and if this card even has 2 magic damage from the beginning you know that you are getting an absolute top tier card here! With higher levels, Magi Necrosi can get up to 3 magic attack, 6 health and additional Stunt and Oppress Abilities. Especially Stunt is a very useful ability against cards with a lot of attack. All in all this card comes in 1.80 USD which is on the more expensive side, but definitely worth considering buying!

Bild5.png

Revealer

At last we have the new reward card: Revealer. Yes it is a reward card, so you could potentially get this card through some reward chests but why wait if you can get it for just 0.14 USD! From the outside maybe not the most desirable card but let me tell you something! This card is absolutely amazing due to its Stunt Ability. This card saved me so many time already, I can not even count it. It will certainly help you win some unwinnable battles and will drive your opponents crazy, I promise!

Dragon

Djinn Chwala

With the Dragon Splinter, it is difficult to find very good cards that are in the correct price category. I feel like I am not using the Dragons Splinter as often as I maybe should but the summoners for this element are just a little too expensive in my opinion. Anyways, for those of you who still want to get some affordable and good dragons, here we go: Frist one up is Djinn Chwala. Again, this card is a reward card but I have the feeling that this card will soon be out of rewards if it is not already. For just 0.11 USD you are getting an absolute beast of card. With 5 armor, 9 health and the Thorns Ability there is a lot of potential to deal extra damage through Thorns! With higher levels this card can even get up to 4 damage which is additionally to the potential Thorns Damage just amazing.

Bild7.png

Void Dragon

Next up we have the Void Dragon. If you really need something against Magic Attackers, do not look further, Void Dragon is dealing Magic damage itself and has the ability of taking less Magic Damage itself. From level 3 on it even gets the Fade Ability which allows him to dodge Magic attacks! Additionally, with 5 speed and the flying ability it will be very hard to hit this card properly. For the price of around 3.00 USD this card is certainly on the expensive side but like mentioned before, Dragons are build different.

Bild8.png

Chaos Dragon

Last but not least we have the most expensive card today. For around 6.90 USD this card is certainly not a cheap one to get. For 14 mana this card is also not the cheapest to play but in return you are getting truly Chaos! With 3 magic attack and the Scattershot ability this card will just purify everything on the opponent’s board without blinking an eye. With the additional Explosion ability, this card is truly amazing and very hard to beat: With 10 health, 4 armor, 3 speed and the Flying Ability it is hard to hit in the first played, and when hit, there is a lot to take from. I don’t think this card is an absolute must have, but in high mana battles certainly not the worst idea to have it.

This is very helpful. I just dumped my few credits into some of the cheapest cards from the starter deck that I used in battle. I was that interested in doing so but the game is knawing away at me. I could probably earn a few chests by just owning the basics. I have a nice collection of alpha cards but don't use them much.

Dear @ga38jem, we need your help!

The Hivebuzz proposal already got important support from the community. However, it lost its funding a few days ago when the HBD stabilizer proposal rose above it.

May we ask you to support it so our team can continue its work?
You can do it on Peakd, Ecency, Hive.blog or using HiveSigner.
