Analysis --> 15th full season in Splinterlands - Rewards and Stats (Gold I and a jump to Diamond III) + Season end Rewards and Stats for my alt account (most in Silver I))

The end of the 6th season of the new rewards system has come. I am still enjoying the way it works and I think it is actually pretty well-balanced overall. Here's what I got from my 53 Gold chests:
  • 56 Legendary Potions;
  • 108 Alchemy Potions;
  • 42.719 SPS;
  • a total of 15 cards - no legedaries, 1 epic, 1 GF common;
  • 179 merits;
  • 3 packs;
This my 2nd complete season in Gold league and I am pleased with the amount of chests I earned. Moreover, in the last few days of the season I managed to jump into Diamond 3 and get a couple of days worth of chests from playing there. Of course I got my a*s handed to me more often than not but there are actually other Gold-level decks there as well so they kind of balance things out. A gold-level deck does not necessarily mean I win the game of course since the power of my deck is still way off what I would like it to be. .

And here's the summary for the month so far - 161 mostly Gold Chests (total value: $26.90):

  • 4 packs;
  • 219.00 SPS;
  • 49 cards - 0 legendaries, 2 epics, 2 GF commons
  • 641 Merits;
  • 241 Alchemy Potions;
  • 86 Legendary Potions;
I think that's not bad at all, the 4 packs I have pulled so far are not a bad amount at all. 219.00 SPS is not too shabby either. As a whole playing in Gold (and a bit in Diamond) feels more stable in terms of earnings and a lot more rewarding than Silver.

As I have already mentioned my Gold deck is still work in progress. So as you can see relying solely on your entry level Gold CL deck for Modern is not exactly optimal as far as the Win/Loss Ratio goes, and even more so in Diamond, of course. Yeah I waste a bit more ECR but at least I am using my own cards so I feel good about that. Having said that it has actually improved slightly compared to last season thanks to the upgraded summoners and monsters I was able to obtain at the end of last season.

I did sign up for as many tourneys as possible, however, when I switched to Gold most of the silver tourneys and all of the bronze ones became unplayable for me due to the restrictive pricing for Gold level players. That was kind of underwhelming but I guess I might try signing up to as many tourneys as possible in the beginning of the season while I am still in Silver.

As I mentioned in the first section, I've received a total of 47 cards. That is a bit more than the amount of cards I got last season.

The 4 packs I've received definitely make a difference. I hope I will keep getting at least a few packs per season in Gold/Diamond.

I've earned a decent amount of SPS from playing as far as I am concerned. We will see if it will get even better once the SPS division per league is introduced.

The SPS report just does not look sexy when the airdrop is no longer on it but oh well.. it is what it is. I did earn some SPS from staking (mostly thanks to the 1/2 Node I have acquired but keep in my account) but that's nothing compared to the 1000 SPS airdrop I had in my last report before the airdrop ended.

My rental report looks pretty good thanks to the service provided by Splex.gg. I'm renting out all my duplicate cards. Not touching anything from my main deck though so about 7,2K DEC from duplicates is pretty nice. It's about 30% less than what I received last season but still not too shabby.

Let's see how the new system treats the poor ol' ex-Bronze players or in this case my poor ex-Bronze now more-so Silver alt account.😁 Here's the breakdown of the screenshot containing 73 Silver Chests:
  • 21 Legendary Potions;
  • 23 Alchemy Potions;
  • 8.66 SPS;
  • a total of 14 cards - 1 legendary;
  • 34 Merits;

So again the rewards are in line with the % distribution provided by the team.

Let's have a look at my total earnings for the month on this account for 247 chests (most of them Silver and a few Bronze).

  • 9.00 SPS;
  • 62 cards - 1 legendary; 1 epic;
  • 409 Merits;
  • 69 Legendary potions;
  • 66 Alchemy potions;
  • 4 packs!;

I am actually very pleased with what I have gotten so far for the month. Compared to what Bronze players get there is just no comparison actually, mostly due to the 4 packs I've been lucky enough to receive. I've never ever received a pack from a Bronze-level chest.

I played only Modern this season and I am planning to just sticking to Modern going forward. I am pleased that I am maintaining a decent win rate on this alt as I am not really deeply involved when playing my daily battles on it. There is more it though. For the 2nd time I decided to advance to Silver even earlier than last time. I jumped straight into Silver II cause I had enough rating coming from high Bronze for it and made my way into Silver I. I was yet again surprised by the amount of level 1 and level 2 Summoners in low-rating Silver I. I had a few days with pretty good amount of SIlver chests cause of that. This also help me boost my season chests to 73. I am planning to keep doing the same. You can see my win rate is very, very good provided the fact that I was playing in Silver with a 100% Bronze-level deck.

I have participated in 6 Novice/Bronze tourneys this season. I actually feel I did well having in mind the fact that my collection is very far away from competitive in Bronze as I am missing key tournament cards.
