💀Death’s Not My Cup of Tea💀

I just don’t know how to play with death Splinters. And neither is Haunted Spider. In general, I prefer fast monsters with special abilities. Haunted Spider lacks both speed and abilities. Its keen advantage is a powerful ranged attack (2 damage for 3 mana is outstanding, at least at my level). It could be wonderful for games with reversed order, in which the slowest monsters strike the first. Alas, I haven’t got into any of those recently. So I decided to rent it rather than to buy it.

I tried it a bunch of time at several positions and under various conditions. However, this battle is the only successful one. I wouldn’t say it was a matter of my skills as it was clearly a lucky one. Thanks to its slowness, Haunted Spider didn’t even have a chance to attack, not even once, but he served as a shield for Twisted Jester, an extremely useful and powerful low-league ranged monster.

As every single monster gained Blast ability, I used Nightmare as a tank. Haunted Spirit behind it was supposed to stood all the blasts, heal itself and strike after the fall of Nightmare. And that what basically happened when Twisted Jester eliminated opponent’s ranged monsters. Thanks to my summoner’s buff, Living Lava couldn’t hurt my Haunted Spirit more than it could heal itself. So I won.

Neither Spiderman, nor a spider-person

I don’t see any point it the market price of Haunted Spider. The 1st level card is sold for over 3 bucks. I could find a handful of way better cards for half the price of it. Well, at least for playing with rating between 1.200 and 1.800, which is basically my peak. If it cost about a dollar, I migth consider buying it, though. Under the current circumstances, I am definitely not a spider person :)
