Introduction

I recently presented a battle showing the power of combining Magic Reflect with Amplify in Greengineer (2022-a). I still see little use of this type of strategy by players during my daily battles in the Gold league, perhaps because they are still adapting to the new cards from the Chaos Legion set.

The battle to be analyzed today used the same strategy with the Life Splinter and Little League ruleset active.

The strategy before the battle

The game had 19 MP available and there were two game rules active, Explosive Weaponry and Little League. My opponent's history was full of battles with a focus on magic attack and as there was little MP and Little League was active I couldn't counterattack with a tank that had Void, as I would still have to worry about the Blast present in all attacks.

Reflecting magic attack was an option, but as the Owster Rotwell I had at my disposal was at level 3 I couldn't use any monsters with Amplify or Silence. In Life Splinter I had 02 monsters with low MP cost that had the ability Magic Reflect, the Pelacor Conjurer and the Blinding Reflect, but the latter needed a Summoner level 04 to count on it. The only summoner at this level was Tyrus Paladium.

So, choosing Tyrus and putting Blinding Reflect and Pelacor Conjurer in the first two positions, it was necessary to include a monster with Silence to reduce the magic attack and another with Amplify. For the first task I counted on Crystal Werewolf in fourth position. For Amplify I chose Venari Spellsmith in fifth position. In the last position I put the Divine Healer to increase the durability of my front line and with the 1 MP remaining I used the Gargoya Scrapper in third position with its Void ability, which could hold part of the blasts of enemy attacks.

Once the team was selected, I just had to hope that my opponent would come with a lot of magic attack, which is what happened:

The battle

My opponent came with Kelp Initiate as a tank, 03 monsters with magic attack being Medusa in second position, Ice Pixie in fifth and Doctor Blight in last, Crustacean King in fourth position and Hardy Stonefish in second.

With Crustacean King's Fortify it would be difficult to destroy my opponent's rear before they obliterate my front line. If I tried to focus the attack on the tank, it would survive long enough for its mages to finish me off. What he didn't count on is that his high war power could be used against himself.

In the first round, my opponent's Medusa was left with 01 life after the 02 reflect she received back and Ice Pixie left the match as soon as she attacked. Hardy Stonefish was eliminated by the Blast of my team's magic attacks and Doctor Blight just didn't die with the reflect due to the 02 life he gained with the elimination of his allies.

2 Round Small Reflect.png

In the second round Medusa eliminated my tank and then died. My allies with magic attack left the Crustacean King on the brink of death and Doctor Blight lost another 02 health after killing my Pelacor Conjurer.

3 Round Small Reflect.png

In the third round the Crustacean King was eliminated. My Gargoya Scrapper held off Doctor Blight's attack but got poisoned.

4 Round Small Reflect.png

At the beginning of the fourth round my Gargoya Scrapper went down due to poisoning. Doctor Blight went down with the blast of my allies' attack.

5 Round Small Reflect.png

In the fifth round the last enemy monster was eliminated, granting me the victory.

If I had Summoner Lorna Shine at level 04 it would have been more useful in place of Tyrus. The Owster The Owster Rotwell level 04 would also do well in this match.

I hope you enjoyed seeing yet another way to combine Magic Reflect with Amplify, this time with the Little League rule active. If you want to follow the battle in detail, just go to Greengineer (2022-b).

A batalha

2 Round Small Reflect.png

3 Round Small Reflect.png

No terceiro round o Crustacean King foi eliminado. Meu Gargoya Scrapper segurou o ataque do Doctor Blight porém ficou envenenado.

4 Round Small Reflect.png

5 Round Small Reflect.png

No quinto round o último monstro inimigo foi eliminado, me garantindo a vitória.

5-2 Round Small Reflect.png
