# Splinter Stats Ranked Rewards Season 2 Report Card

avatar

@gregory-f

It's time once again to have a look back at the Splinterlands season that was. This was the second season under the new reward system and there were some minor changes to the rules from the first season, but none that dramatically impacted my rewards. So, I think an apples-to-apples comparison of the first and second season is appropriate.

While I didn't make it into Diamond 1 league this season, I did attain Diamond 2 and my rating was only 200 lower. But, more importantly, my win/loss ratio improved from 0.89 to 0.94 this season. Continuing to achieve a high win/loss ratio will be very important in maximizing my rewards because I won't be depleting my Capture Rate.

The highlights of my rewards this season were a Gold Foil Epic card and 6 Chaos Legion Booster packs. I'm still waiting for my first Legendary Gold Foil under the new reward system and even though the chances of my finding one in one of the Diamond reward chests are greatly improved over the old system, still, they elude me.

Total Ranked play earning increased significantly over last season also. My DEC earnings increased by 4900 DEC (an increase of almost 18%), while my Credits equiveillance increased by 4000 (an increase of over 18%) thanks to finding an extra Chaos Legion pack in my reward chests.

Rentals really shot up this season over last season. My net rental income increased to 11734 this season from the paltry 3974 DEC last season. I guess it took the BOT farms a season to get adjusted and start renting heavily again after the changes. I can't wait to see the new Focus changes and new rulesets introduced to keep the BOTs guessing and give us human players a much-needed edge in the arena.

SPS received from the Airdrop and staking rewards increased a little this season while Voucher drops increased significantly thanks to the new voucher distribution for validation node owners. Unfortunately voucher prices plummeted shortly after the new distribution started. But with the SPS airdrop ending later this month, hopefully we will see the price of SPS start to recover which should also push the price of vouchers higher.

The second season under the new reward system continued to be significantly more profitable than the old system. I'm looking forward to the continued system tweaks that will hopefully keep the Splinterlands eco system healthy. But what I'm really chomping at the bit for is LAND!

Can we talk about the absolutely huge amount of DEC you got from dailies?
I spent most of my time in Diamond II and Diamond I and got 6288 DEC from dailies (from 97 wins overall). You basically got 3 times that amount in a couple of leagues lower (I assume you spent most of the season in Gold III and Diamond I) with 204 wins overall. So double the wins but 3 times the DEC from dailies. Clearly the new Splinter Focus is working really well for you.

Do you happen to know how many chests you roughly get/aim for in the daily focus? I seem to get between 2-4.

I try for at least 10 Chests each day. Depending on the focus and how I'm playing that day, sometimes it's a few more, sometimes less. I will admit that most of the DEC from the Dailies came from 3 lucky opens of 10k, 5k and 2500 DEC. All the other days were 2-300 a day.

Ahhhh, that'll do it. I had a big lucky loot chest with a ton of DEC in the first season so I can see how 10ish chests a day might get you a couple of those. You're doing so well!

I’m pretty eager for the release of land, too. I was expecting it to launch far sooner, and planned around it being live last year.

Well, we are now in the third quarter of 2022 and the schedule shows that Land Phase 1 will occur this quarter. I don't know about you, but I feel like we may see it slip again. That would suck!

Land is becoming the proverbial promised land. Starting to feel like I’m waiting to catch a train to Oz.

Lol. I'm clicking the ever living fuck outta these slippers they sold me. 🤣

I'm starting to feel like the Jews who had to wander in the Sinai desert for 40 years before they found the promised land.

Looks like a good season. I’m renting al my cards this season and since I feel like my kids are not earning what they could.

I’ll be setting up their own accounts so they can play and start earning rewards for themselves and their future.

That's a fantastic idea! Are you allowing them full control of building the account including buying and selling or do they only get to battle?
