About Temporal Master

Temporal Master is an epic life unit that deals magic damage to enemies and also part of the chaos legion set. The current price for a regular foil card is $0.28 while the gold foil card is currently listed at $3.90 on the market as of this writing. It is the cheapest epic unit among the monsters on the Chaos Legion Set which is why upgrading this card would not be too much difficult.

The figure above shows the complete statistics of Temporal Master from Level 1 up to its maximum Level of 6. Since it is an epic unit it would be take some time to upgrade this card to its max level but on the brighter side, it is relatively cheap compared to other epic monsters on the market so it would be much easier to upgrade this card to higher level. My opinion for this card is that upgrading this card to at least Level 4 would be enough in order to deal massive 6 magic damage to enemies thanks to its recharge ability. It only has a single ability from Level 1 to Level 5 and once the card reach its maximum level it will now unlock the stun ability which is very useful on the battlefield.

My Battle

The Ruleset

Melee Mayhem

image.png

There are two rulesets for this match first is Melee Mayhem. This rule allows all melee monsters to be able to attack each round regardless of its position. It allows my melee monsters which are Shieldbearer and Jared Scar to deal damage while not being placed in the first position.

Taking Sides

image.png

The other ruleset present in this match is Taking Sides. This rule only does not allow neutral monsters to be used in this battle. It limits the list of monsters that I can use for this match since there are a lot of good neutral monsters that I love to use in ranked battles and I can only choose monsters from one specific element.

My Lineup

Summoner: General Sloan

image.png

I used General Sloan as my summoner for this match. It gives +1 ranged damage to my whole team, though only Prismologist was the only one who was able to receive the ranged damage buff from this summoner. Nevertheless, I was able to use some of my leveled up monsters in this battle since my summoner is Level 2.

Monster 1 : Chaos Knight

image.png

I used Chaos Knight in the first position. It is very durable unit with its Shield ability that reduces the melee and ranged damaged it will receive from the enemies. It is a very solid frontline that also deals a decent amount of melee damage.

Monster 2 : Shieldbearer

image.png

I also used Shieldbearer in this battle. It is also durable like Chaos Knight because it has 9 Health and 4 Shield. It has the Taunt ability where it makes all the opponent's monster to target this monster first if they are able to do so. This ability allows my other monster to avoid getting damage at the first few rounds and perhaps secure me the victory.

Monster 3 : Jared Scar

image.png

I also used my Jared Scar in this match as one of my main damage dealers. It has 5 Melee Damage that can instantly takes down the enemy that does not have any shield. It also has the Bloodlust ability that grants this monster health, speed, damage and armor buff every time it takes down an opponent which makes this card unstoppable at the later rounds.

Monster 4: Djinn Renova

image.png

I also used my Djinn Renova for this battle to deal magic damage to enemies. This monster also makes the whole team more durable with its strengthen ability which gives the my monsters +1 Health at the start of the match and would only lose that buff if this monster was taken down.

Monster 5 : Prismologist

image.png

I used Prismologist as one of the main damage dealers in this battle. It deals 4 ranged damage with the buff coming from my summoner to the enemies. It has the blast ability that deals damage to the monsters that is adjacent to the target monster which is huge in taking down my opponents quickly.

Monster 6: Temporal Master

image.png

Lastly I put Temporal Master in the last position. It has the recharge ability where this monster can only attack every other round but each time it attacks it deals 3x damage. Since this card has 1 magic damage, every time it attacks it will deal 3 magic damage to the opponent which is huge against low health opponents. It needs time before it unleashes its huge magic damage so it is important to keep this monster protected at the back.

ROUND 1

image.png

On the first round both teams focuses on attacking the Shieldbearer of each team where both the Shieldbearer survives however my Shieldbearer was in better condition compared to the opponents Shieldbearer who barely survives the first round.

ROUND 2

image.png

During the second round both the Shieldbearers was taken down. My Jared Scar was also able to take down the opponent's Luminous Eagle in this round which triggers its Bloodlust ability where my Jared Scar gets buffed up and now has 6 Melee Damage, 6 Health, 3 Speed and 3 Armor.

ROUND 3

image.png

During the third round both I was able to take down the opponent's Cave Slug leaving my opponents with 3 units left. My Chaos Knight did a very good surviving all the damage coming from the enemies on the first 3 rounds, that gives my other monsters the time to deal good amount of damage to the enemies.

ROUND 4

image.png

On the fourth and final round my team was able to take down the remaining opponents where my Prismologist was the one who deal the finishing blow on the Lone Boatman. My Chaos Knight did an incredible job surviving the whole match that results to only one casualty on my team which is the Shieldbearer.

Temporal Master is an interesting card to use in ranked battles. It requires careful planning and right positioning to fully utilize the huge magic damage from this monster. Since it only attacks every other round it would be helpful to foresee the potential scenario of each round when building the team lineup. For this battle I manage to secure the victory with only one casualty in Shieldbearer where my Chaos Knight was able to take all the damage from the enemies and survive. My Temporal Master also plays an important role in this victory, the 3 magic damage every other round from this monster is good against monsters that has armor. There are other possible combinations in the game where Temporal Master can be utilized more and I would like to discover it myself.
