Hello friends, I just want to know how you feel when you lose a battle in splinterlords because each time I lost I felt so bad because of amount of points that will be deducted from my point.

It takes me sometimes 6 to 10 win to recover the points that I lost in a battle. I wondered why is like that? Toward the end of last season, I lost 3 battle consecutively; about 200 plus was deducted from my points, I couldn't recover that point till the season ended. I couldn't get more than 3 or 5 point per win.

In life, losing is inevitable but until you accept it within that is when you lost. I never accept defeat even though am defeated several times and that is what keeping me going in life.

This morning, I woke up to battle after last night, I battle with pyrom, the battle was so short but it was a hefty battle.

BATTLE ARRANGEMENTS

PSX_20200715_172502.jpg
FURIOUS CHICKEN: The reason I placed this as my attacking monster was to delay from reaching my main attacking monster. I used furious chicken as a 'force attacking' monster. If not because of the arrangements, I would have been defeated.
I used furious chicken most times at the front or behind and it really helps me in most cases.

FLESH GOLEM: this earth monster was my second monster in the battle. It was my main attacking monster. I knew my opponent will come with strategy that might brought me down. Therefore, I used flesh golem because of its ability- gaining more health at each round of the battle.

HALFLING ALCHEMIST: I used this neural monster here to break thee melee of opponent monsters. It really helped a lot because the opponent monster had 4 melee attack but with the help of Halfling Alchemist, it melee was broken to two.

BATTLE RULES

*Reverse Speed: Monsters with the lowest speed attack first and have the highest chance of evading attacks.

  • Even Stevens: Only Monsters with even Mana costs may be used in the battle.

ROUND 1:

It was Furious chicken that started attack, but with just a strike from from opponent monster brought it down. I was left with flesh golem and Halfling Alchemist. A strike from Halfling Alchemist broke the Melee which made it possible for flesh golem to regain more life to itself.

ROUND 2:

Minotaur Warlord was left with 8 health. The heavy attack brought it health down again to 1 at level three. To conclude the whole battle, Minotaur Warlord was eliminated and I won the battle.

WHAT DO I LEARNED FROM THE BATTLE

In the mid night today, I lost 3 battle consecutively which reduced my points drastically. I learnt that:-

  1. Defeat is part of life: Never look down whenever life did not go the way you plan it. You might be defeated on the course of your career, don't ever accept defeat within you. Believe in yourself you can do it and cast every doubt out. You learn lessons on the course of failure or defeat which will be useful to you to tackle failure or defeat. If I have given up because of the failure and defeat I encountered in my life, I wouldn't have been here today talking. I wouldn't have finished my University, I wouldn't have been employed, I wouldn't have be someone who impact life to this generation. My career would have been ruined. But despite everything was tough, I never give up.

  2. Defeat is Inevitable: No one in this life that can say 'i have never suffered failure or defeat in one area of life'. The thing is that, where you were defeated might different from mine. Some people suffered defeat or failure in career, marriage, failure to accomplish certain task, politics, family, etc. Am saying it boldly today, one of the cure for defeat is "never accept that you are defeated". Would you say because I failed in business; therefore, I will not do business again or what you are doing does not produce expected result; then I quit. If you do that, you have given room for failure in your life.

According to the history, the man that invented light bulb tried the experiment more than 30 times before he could succeeded in it. Today we are celebrating him. So many political figures that have contested more than 2 or 3 times, but with consistency they won.

  1. Defeat or failure is not to brake you but to mould you: I knew you will surprise why I said so. Failure is meant to strengthen you, discover your weakness on the process of failure and develop enough capacity to make it vulnerable.
Failure or defeat is not a time to isolate yourself and Start crying, weeping and thinking negative things that will not help the matter. It is a time to seat tight and come up with a good plan that will overturn the situation. If you accept defeat or failure, you are coward because successful man and woman don't accept it.

YES!
You're very right.
Ya gotta 'fail up'.
I think of it as falling UP the stairs. Sure, you may trip and fall, but as long as you pick yourself up again and keep on keepin' on you're bound to get to where you're going. The only way you don't get there is to just give up.
I have failed SO MANY TIMES... in life, in general... and in Splinterlands battles. 😂 But I keep going. I can say I'm (generally) better than I was yesterday.
Nothing worth it is easy or free. 🥰
Great post! Great attitude!
