Splinterlands Social Media Challenge - P2E trading card battle game - with the best ever cards for collecting !

Splinterlands is a trading card battle game on the Hive Blockchain. It truely is a play2earn game in every way shape and form, as there are so many ways to earn income from it - whether via in-game rewards for game play, or the whole card trading and rental side of things, and through to splinterlands token staking.

I'm a collector by habit, sorry, not true - I'm a hoarder ! So the card collecting side of the game really appeals to me - I love it when I get a new card. It does not matter whether its good, bad, cheap, expensive or something I already have - I just like em. The art work is pretty cool as are the names. The pic above shows some of the cards I currently have.

I bought two cards yesterday - the goblin tower (2 off - as above). They were pretty cheap at $0.11 each, and I used in game credits which I had gotten as rewards from playing the game. I liked the picture on them !

The soul strangler (above) is another card I quite like. Both the picture and the name appeals to me. I'm sure I've worked with a few soul stranglers in the past as well !

Interestingly enough, the soul strangler card I have is at level 2 - you can level up cards, buy holding so many and then combining them. At level 2, it allows me to rent it out and earn a passive income. I'm currently getting 0.264 DEC/day, which is not a huge amount, but as an APR its about 20% ROI - which is not bad for a low value run of the mill card. Details as follows:

There are cards that do way better than this, and some cards have considerable value. Like many, I use Monster Market if I want to buy specific cards as it provides 5% cash back on purchases. But you can also buy packs of cards in-game, which provide a random chance of landing something really worth value (but it is chance).

The pic above is a screenshot from MonsterMarket and all I've done is sort the price to descending. Some of the cards go for considerable money - and people readily pay this, because the rewards back from the game are quite incredible. Its worth noting that the $800 card shown, Doctor Blight, is the cheapest one of that card listed at level 2 (see below) !

For me it takes collecting to a whole new level - and makes it even more interesting, although I'm not at the level of spending $800 on a card - my most expensive one is around $5, but thats still good in my book.

The other great thing about Splinterlands is the community. You can find blog posts on it all over the place - I mainly read those on PublishOx and Hive Blockchain (eg, splintertalk or Hive blog). So its easy to find gaming strategies, investment strategies and the likes. And there are also many daily giveaways - where you can get the chance to win a card. I have won cards through these - which I have then managed to rent out for daily passive income - so whats not to like !

So if like me, you are a collector at heart then Splinterlands is worth a look - you dont even have to play the game - you can simply collect and earn !
