Llama+Kron and Mimosa's Affliction
Hello Splinterlands Community!
I am posting again to share another scenario that I somehow encounter in Bronze League Modern Format while playing my alt account. The opponent often use Llama-Kron combination which as we know is a very powerful.
This strategy can be an option to defeat a Llama+Kron. Of course not every strategy is effective as there are factors involve such as opponent line up positioning, choice of card, and ruleset.
Take note that this strategy is focus on the Modern Format.
Conditions
#1 Mana Capacity
In terms of mana capacity it seems that this data is not much reliable in predicting the lineup of your opponent. The Flesh Golem is unavailable in the modern format however Kron and Grund have the same mana capacity in which it is somehow hard to identify if your opponent will use Llama+Grund or Llama+Kron by just relying on the mana capacity.
This strategy however use at least a 19-22 mana cap.
A minimum of 17 mana cap is required in order to use the Llama+Kron or Llama+Grund. There are rare cases that Pelacor Mercenary (14 mana cap) or Nectar Queen (16 mana cap) is use together with Llama.
#2 Ruleset
There are quite many ruleset in which if these ruleset appears, then this strategy might not be useful at all.
Below are the ruleset that will affect this strategy.
Basically these ruleset either probihits the opponent in deploying Llama+Kron or your line-up won't be able to do the strategy against Llama+Kron by having the monsters become unavailable or the summoner and monster skill is disable.
#3 Historical Match
If your opponent's 5 most recent match-up use Llama as a summoner consistently with Kron, then most probably they will also use a Llama on your match. If there are diversity of line-up based from the 5 most recent match, then this condition may not be true at all.
Also check whether the Kron is always position at the rear and not in 2nd,3rd or 4th position.
The Strategy
The strategy is to halt Kron healing ability and to quickly kill Kron before it reaches the first position. If Kron reaches the first position then the strategy fails as Llama will cast the cleanse.
The most important here is to use Mimosa Nightshade and a bunch of sneak attackers.
Sandworm is also a great monster with sneak attack however the mana cost is too big.
For the frontline that will take the damage, below are the possible options.
I think the best tank here is Cursed Windeku because of high health and thorn that can provide return damage to melee opponent. Xenith Monk is also good as it have some healing.
Cornealus, Chain Golem and Legionnaire Alvar maybe a good option as well but these monsters cost a big mana.
Battle
Against Llama+Kron
Mana Cost: 22
Ruleset: Broken Arrow
Actually this line-up has something wrong as I can use Cursed Windeku instead of Bone Golem. Mimosa provide void ability however Bone Golem already have, Cursed Windeku will benefit more and in terms of health Cursed Windeku got more health with a lest 1 mana cost.
In this strategy, Mimosa will disable the heal ability of Kron while Silent Sha-vi and Uraeus will do the damage to Kron. During the 3 rounds without any healing, Kron will be defeated by a combined attack of Shavi and Uraeus as long as Kron does not reach the front position.
🪄 Final Thoughts
The strategy mentioned above is just another way on how to defeat a Llama+Kron. This might be effective in some case and ineffective in other cases as in the Splinterlands, there are a lot of possibility and combination that we as a player always try to explore.
This strategy can be also easily countered as placing meat shields with 0 to 1 at the back position will longer Kron survival as well as having Queen Mycelia will provide additional armor against sneak attack.

For a 22 mana match there are many combos that will defeat lama kron, it gets difficult at 17 mana.
