Splinterlands Tournaments play New experience for me
#Tournments are extra play.
Tournaments exist under the events menu choice.
They give you the ability to participate against other players for a chance at a prize.
They typically cost something to join. In this case it cost me 10 DEC with a chance to win 1000 PIMP, 10000 LVL Tokens, 1 Cartel Token, 3 Bro Tokens and a Gold Foil Gargoya Lion.
There were other prizes for 2nd through 100th place.
As my first round ended I was in 186th place. I needed to be 176th or better to make the second round. When all the people who missed their battles were finalized I had dropped to 242nd place.
When all the people who missed their battles were finalized I had dropped to 242nd place.
During the battling some things that I learned.
- You only move up in the ranking with a win or draw. Losses just reduce your chances to move up but don't actually move you down.
- They give you a list of all the players you are battling for the round. This gives you the ability to research them before submitting against them.
It was an interesting exercise and I thought 5 wins and a draw were not bad at all.
My draw was an great battle without knowing who would win until the end.
