2022 Investment Goals - Progress report

With this account I want to show that it is possible to build an online business/investment portfolio without any fiat money invested at the start.

In 2022 I want to keep growing, using what I have learned in the past years. By setting goals I also want to prevent myself from spreading myself too thin or focusing on inferior goals.

These are my goals:

• 1500 Hive power. With the higher prices, this might be a challenge, but I would like to keep building my Hive power. With all things going on up here, hive has to go up.

• 1000 Leo power. The leofinance team are rolling out awesome updates constantly. I want to support that and take part in it.

• 50 BRO (you just can’t go wrong with bro)
• 100 UTOPIS (the best paying dividends token)
• 50 Index
• 10 Cartel
• 100 HBD in savings
• 500 SPS

Now that the entire world market, including the crypto market, is deep in the red because of fear for a recession, this changes many things.

Now that hive is relatively cheaper and might go down further, this should make it easier to reach my hive goal.

Also I should get less hbd and therefore more hive per payout for my posts.

I’m pleased to see that the starbits token actually now is worth more Hive, so my best income generator has become more valuable.

I am currently restructuring my dcity after the big changes to popularity, so I’m hoping that will start to generate some income again. At the moment it is very slow.

I increased my BRO goal to 50 tokens. MyUtopis stake is now 100 tokens and I’ve decided not to make it higher than that. My Index goal is now raised to 50 tokens and I’m also going to focus on getting 500 SPS staked.

I’m amazed by the number of games that are available and coming out with play-to-earn features. As I don’t have time to play them all, I instead invest in the Cartel token by @oneup-cartel. The Cartel token is both an investment token and a dividends token, although dividends won’t start the first 6 month’s.

The current crypto crash has lowered the expectation for the games to become profitable enough to start payouts to the CARTEL holders. As a result some people have started selling their cartel tokens, which provides me the opportunity to keep building my cartel holdings for a lower price.

I have added Index to my dividends token goals, as I see that they are set up to benefit a lot from the growth in splinterlands and the upcoming expansions to that game. As one of the biggest holders of DEC, they get loads of SPS and Vouchers. I believe this will continue to expand.

Index has gone down in price a lot as well, so I might even raise my Index goal to 100 INDEX tokens.

With the Riftwatchers expansion and Land expansion still coming this year, I’m sure that SPS will become more valuable towards the end of the year. So I will continue to build my SPS stake. If the price keeps dropping like it has, then I might raise my target to 1000 SPS.

I have stopped selling my CTP, as I got back into the top 40 for the CTP swarm in terms of CTP staked. This means I get a bigger upvote from @ctpsb, which is totally worth staking all CTP I get.

I am stacking HBD in savings for the 20% interest, which is a great hedge against any potential market crash and also a good way to take ‘profits’ when we would still see a bull run in 2022. Although that seems not likely anymore.

I believe 2022 will be a massive year for hive with all the development that is taking place, so I will continue to build my investment portfolio. It is actually good for me that the prices are lower now, as I can now raise my goals.
