My Splinterlands Journey

I've started playing Splinterlands since August 2021 with one account. It took me few days to be accustomed to the mechanics.
After a few days, I've decided to add a few accounts since I really liked the game and a few games a day is not enough for me. One factor of that is of course the daily quest rewards hoping to earn some $DEC and cards. I was also able to bought a few DQ potions at that time and been lucky to got 2 2k $DEC chest.

My first Season

When I started, I only rented chicken and ooze. That way my rating always reached 1.4k. That time I still don't know anything about Season at all. So at the end of the season, I just claimed my EOS rewards for my 4 accounts, and was lucky enough to get Robo Dragon knight and 2k $DEC. I did not realize that it was a Legendary card at that time and just kept it. While on my 2nd Season I got Almo Cambio as a reward. Those 2 EOS are the only time where I got lucky on my Rewards up to this date.

Grinding $DEC

After a few season, I decided to try climbing leagues by experimenting with the rentals. I've changed my strategy to focus on grinding $DEC instead of just doing DQ. I do it by alternating my accounts everyday to play. I rent for a league (Silver III - Silver I) and do 2-3 DQ before the rental expires. Most of the time I ended up with 20% ECR left. By doing this, I was able to earn ~1k DEC or more every day. All of my accounts mostly ended up with Diamond League rating. Every EOS, I always try to at least finish on Silver III league.

Luckily, I've already started doing this before the Splinterlands changed their rewards system to give more benefit to those who play on higher league.

Building Deck

Since my luck has been bad, I've decided to buy a few cards that I always use like Furious Chicken, Djinn Oshannus, Kelp Initiate and some cheap GF common cards where it might be useful in Silver league and above. Don't know if this was a good idea, because ever since I've brought this cards I never used them and just put them for rent. The reason was because this cards were inferior when doing rank games on higher league. Before December, my daily rental income was ~80DEC while ~40DEC at this time. which was still not bad considering that I'm gaining something while not doing anything. Right now my Combat Power was at 14k, 1k more and I'll reach Silver league. I'm planning to build my deck after the General sale of Chaos Legion hoping that price will drop at that time.

$SPS Airdrop

Ever since I've played this game I have not moved any Splinterlands related asset outside because of the SPS Airdrop. Today, I have 70k Airdrop points accumulated, and having around 8 SPS daily. I've staked all of the SPS and reached 503 $SPS. That also allowed me to purchase a few Pre-sale Chaos Legion packs.

Pre-sale

Since I'm too lazy to do buy and sell of stuffs, I've decided to buy a Chaos Legion pack with my accumulated $VOUCHERS from the airdrop and buy a few. I ended up with 4 Packs for the airdrop LOL. To my surprise, I was able to get 1 Dr. Blight. I also decided to open those packs together with a few packs I got from @kennysgaminglife as reward in Pizza1 guild by being undefeated in our brawl battles. From those packs, I've managed to get 1 GF Obsidian summoner.

Guild and Brawls

For the guild, I just randomly applied to every guild for my all accounts. Some of my account was kicked after donating a few hundreds of $DEC, I was scammed LOL. After a while, I got lucky by joining Pizza 2 guild, where I did my first brawl. After a few brawls, I was invited to go to Pizza 1 guild and managed to earn more merits to buy Gladius packs. This was a good community so I suggest you guys to explore $Pizza and share it with your friends.
