Mylor For the win - earth deck guide

avatar

Hi Everyone,

I'm writing this post to share a strategy that I think is very rental and with low cost to try to improve your rating in the game, it consists of abusing Mylor as a summoner, due to a set of cards with great cost-benefit and the Thorns power provided by this summoner, this ability is that when a creature with Thorn is attacked by a melee creature, it will reflect 2 damage back to the attacker.

In Bronze and Silver ratings, there are two main strategies commonly explored, they consist of using a water deck based on MP, at the end of the article is a quick guide on how to play x water decks,(based on Alric, as I presented in my last post) and the other would be to use a fire deck, which can vary between pyro and Malric Inferno(+1 Melee Attack), I'll present my theory on ways to try to play against both decks, show Earth cards that can be useful, their cost-effectiveness and their potential use in battles.

Reasons to use Mylor include:

  • Thorn skill;
    -Low cost (3);
    -Allows to use many strong cards and tanks from deck Earth;
    -Acceptable rental cost (6~10 dec/day).

OBS: The price quotes used were those obtained by me in end-of-season rentals (12/02).

Key Earth Cards

Mylor (8.5 dec/day, 40cp)

Fundamental card for strategy, provides Thorn for all your creatures, has low cost, very effective against most decks, most tanks in the game have melee attack, therefore helps drain the tank's life, punishes creatures with low life and with sneak, has a lot of effectiveness, does not affect ranged attack and magic attack, but other cards will be shown below for these cases.

Swamp Thing (2.95 dec/day, 600cp)

Low cost, reduces 1 life of all opposing creatures, besides having 4 life, being able to tank up to 4 attacks of creatures before being killed.

Sporcerer (1.6 dec/day, 200cp)

It reduces all enemies' armor, which is very effective against life decks and creatures that give armor to everyone, such as the Venari Wavesmith. It has magic damage, its only negative point would be the high cost (6).

Brownie (1.6 dec/day, 300cp)

1 cost, 1 attack, 1 hp, plus speeds up all monsters on your team, can be used as 1st position to tank an attack that would go to your tanker, can be used in between positions to maximize its effect in most of the combat.

Goblin Dartling (0.1 dec/day, 10cp)

Ranged damage source, low cost, good choice for low resource combat.

Nectar Queen (0.1 dec/day, 10cp)

Despite the high cost (9), it has many advantages, Fly ability to try to evade melee and ranged attacks, 10 Hp which allows you to tank a lot and on top it has 4 Melee Attack, which helps a lot to get rid of a possible enemy tanker, a lot of advantage for one card.

Screeching Vulture (0.1 dec/day, 15cp)

Fly, opportunity, low cost and can even be used in intermediate positions to get rid of low HP units, very useful x MP or Ranged cards with Health 1.

Wood Nymph (0.1 dec/day, 15cp)

One of the hearts of the Deck, its ability to heal the tank, matches perfectly with the deck's idea of tanking and draining creatures while getting opposing creatures punished for attacking Melee. This card has an absurd usefulness and still has MP.

Failed Summoner (FREE)

As Mylor's ability helps against Melee monsters, this card is a good initial or secondary tanker choice to clear MP monsters from a possible water deck, has 4 health and the ability to reflect magic damage back to the attacking creature, at the simple cost of 2 resource.

Unicorn Mustang (FREE)

High ability to withstand magic attacks, together with the ability of mylor is extremely effective against most creatures, if combined with Wood Nymph ensures a lot of advantage during a game, often causes an absurd damage before the enemy manages to remove this game creature.

Khmer Princess (FREE)

Low cost, Deals magic damage and is a reasonable option for dealing with life decks or tankers with a lot of armor and low hp.

Earth Elemental(FREE)

Usually used in the last or last positions, it has a lot of life which helps to deal very well with monsters that have Sneak, it has a very low cost for the impact it causes in the game, when protecting monsters in the final positions.

Stone Golem (FREE)

Great tank against Fire, Life or Death decks, as these have many creatures with Melee and ranged attack, it has a lot of life, which holds a little against low MP creatures, it's a great free tank option.

Total Cost and CP provided by the rents.

~~ 15.05 dec/day
1190 cp

Remember to study which were the last decks used by the opponent, in order to make the best choice of tanker and cards like Failed Summoner, Spocerer, also observe the rules of battle and the amount of resources available for summoning creatures. No neutral creatures were shown in this post, but I dealt with them in my last post, if you want to check it out, the link is below.
