You already know i'm a big proponent of HIVE and powering up.
Sometimes everything isn't about rate of present return sometimes it's about saving time and the hassles of renting vs owner... it's also about believing in something long term and longer term investments. Also RC delegations are gonna make HIVE even more useful when it comes out.
But being a renter is also fine ... i guess. For some people.

And if your business is on Hive I think you'd be insane to not have at least, I dunno 500 000 Hive Powered Up, 1M would probably be more like it, I'd be paranaoid about chain security if had as much at stake as you!
I'm basically with you - I think anyone with signficant Splinterlands assets should have a few tens of thousands of Hive powered up at least, it's just a matter courtesy to the chain that does the service, if nothing else!
