Splinterlands Another Day of Gold Chest Opening and Review of Pyrewatch Devil

Hi again everyone! Today I opened up my thirteen Spinterlands gold rewards chests. Every day I cross those fingers hoping for a jackpot chest or the tell tale shaking chest followed by a flash of gold! Today it was to no avail once again... Maybe tomorrow! I did pull a little over one SPS which I will always take with a smile and very few potions which is a huge plus. My card pulls were more of the same for the most part. More Fungus Flingers, Dumack Orcs, Gobson Bombers, but I did pull a few Pyrewatch Devils!

I really haven't paid much attention to this card until today. I was able to level mine up to level 3 which is still pretty much unusable in gold/diamond where I like to play. Upon closer examination it's actually a pretty cool card. You start off with life leach at level one which is a great ability but also means his baseline health is pretty low. It's not real fast and only has one ranged attack which isn't bad for three mana. Then we get up to level four and the attack climbs to 2, but at level five it gains dispel which is an awesome ability! It wipes out all positive status buffs the opponent's card has. Then at level seven you gain oppress which has never been a favorite ability of mine but does have it's uses. But at level ten the attack bumps up to 3 which makes him a very formidable card. He could end up with a huge amount of health with life leach and will pack a nice punch. Overall this could be a very powerful card in your fire splinter lineup.

Fire splinter is one of my most unused and neglected along with death. As a result I have ignored many cards in these splinters. But some of these new soul bound cards I think will change once I level them up enough to start using them regularly in my battles. My ultimate goal is to have enough leveled up soul bound rewards cards to become less dependent on renting. Even though most rentals are cheap right now it adds up over time and that cuts into profits.
