Brawl Report #11

Splinterland Brawls are a guild event where you can earn merits and SPS. This post serves as a way for me to review how my fights went and as a reminder to sign up for the next brawl. I have missed brawls in the past and it hurts when gladius cards can now be used in ranked battles using the soulbound summoners.

Brawl Result

I choose the gold foil modern brawl and I got 3 wins and 1 loss. My rewards for the brawl were 2,150 merits and 19.34 SPS in the 2 star category. My guild ranked 2nd place out of the 10 guilds there. I choose to take the gold foil modern brawl because my guild usually doesn't fill all their spots and I prefer to give my other guild members a chance at the brawls.

Brawl fights

There were 3 fights that I won and 1 that I lost. So I included an idea of what the match was below along with a few thoughts about it.

You can find the first match here. I won this match and one reason why I won was because my opponent used a taunt monster when the fury ruleset was there. The rest of my cards just slowly took out my opponent and I won due to that with my bloodlust monster.

You can find the second match here. I lost this match and that taunt monster just soaked up all my hits. I couldn't do much outside of that because I didn't have enough damage against my opponent. The tank heal just made it even harder for me to kill that taunt monster.

You can find the third match here. I won this match and I feel that my opponent didn't have much available in cards. So it was a fairly easy win because I had the magic damage to out damage my opponent. My opponent only had 2 monsters capable of attacking.

You can find the fourth match here. I won this match and the extra armor from my summoner helped. With this, I was able to outlast the damage my opponent had and my ranged monster did its job killing off my opponent.

Conclusion

I think doing 4 fights for 2,150 merits and 19.34 SPS is a pretty good reward for the effort. My performance in the brawls was good and it's a nice change after losing more than half of my matches for the previous few brawls. We placed 2nd this time around and that is a great result because we don't fill all the brawls available. I think brawls are a great way of earning SPS and merits for the amount of battles you participate in. So I think it is worthwhile for people to participate in these brawls. My current brawls are in the two star category.
