If you get the "Messages failed to load" error when trying to access the Splinterlands Discord channel...

It took me a couple of hours to figure out why I was getting the "Messages failed to load" error from the Splinterlands discord channel. I cleared my cache. Restarted my web browser but that didn't work. I actually googled this exact error message searching for a solution to it and some of the solutions called for restarting your router or using a VPN. I ignored those suggestions as it seemed overkill. I finally came across a web page that suggested this:

A quick workaround to messages not loading is to click one of the text channels present on the left bar marked with the ‘#’.

This never even occured to me as it seemed like the entire web page was blurred out but yes you can actually click one of the text channels. The channel loaded up and I read the message telling me to "react" to the post to gain access to the rest of the discord channel. I did and finally the Splinterlands Discord channel worked normally for me again.

I can only assume that since the Splinterlands Discord channel came under bot attack a couple of days ago, that this countermeasure by Splinterlands was necessary. However, it would have helped a lot to give a heads up to Splinterlands players through a blog post or something beforehand on how to bypass the "Messages failed to load" error message. It took me so long to figure it out. Almost half the day. :(
