This Is Why You Keep Doing Your Daily Quests...

I'm by no means the best example when it comes to success on Splinterlands!

My biggest 'faux-pas' was being here on day one and not sticking to it. I didn't spend the time to learn the game even though everyone was saying 'Steem Monsters' was going to be huge!

And one of the things I noticed now looking back on the evolution of this game is that some players have never missed a day of claiming their daily quest rewards!

I never understood it though, I'd do the quests and MIGHT get a rare card, the odd gold foil common...But scoring the big rewards seemed like a dream for me.

Regardless...After I jumped back into this game about a year ago, I've pretty much made it a habit to complete my daily quests!

Still...

Rares, a few epics and gold foil commons every now and again!

And potions...My goodness, so many potions ;)

That all changed on Friday afternoon...

I had finally reached Gold 2, and had a quest potion loaded up and ready to rock.

My hand kind of slipped when I was moving my cursor over one of the cards to reveal it and it shook a little.....

If you have ever revealed a Legendary card...You know that feeling!!!

And to make it even sweeter, it was Djinn Oshannus!

Which I've been trying to max out over the past few months too!

Sure, it's not a gold foil legendary but I'm not complaining at all. Heck I'm actually jumping for joy LOL

Of course, I immediately put him on the market to rent out and within minutes I had him out for rent ;)

The lesson?

Keep doing those daily quests!

It might seem like fool's gold to keep on completing them but believe me...The more you 'show up' the luckier you will get!

I don't remember me missing out doing my quest so far this year for me it's a big NO, the chances of scoring Legendary cards can't be taken for granted, regardless of Legendaries every single reward counts.

I am a newer player and have not had the luck of scoring amazing cards, as of yet. I do agree with you wholeheartedly.

Every single reward does count, the cards, potions, even the credits. It all counts.

Over time I've continued to build my deck mainly from rewards.

wow that is great pull for you congrats. The daily I do but as low as I am I only get one thing at a time and a card is rare for me to get at all, but I will get up there soon

That word "lucky" I think as a culture that word is vastly misunderstood. Luck does not come to those that sit and do nothing, luck does not come to the jealous envious personalities.
Luck comes to those more often that put in the work daily. Back when I was tipping those scales at about 320 pounds or 145 kilograms, I was trying different diets and exercise programs. The people around me did not notice any real change.

Then I move out of state, and adopt a lifestyle of better dietary choices and moderate exercise, and have worked my weight down to about 245 pounds or 111 kilograms. I do not notice much of a difference, but those that knew me at 320, say the same thing.

Wow, you lost a lot of weight!! What is your secret? Did you get surgery?
Personally, I have a long way to go, and I understand how to some people it may look like I instantly shed 75 pounds or 34 kilograms, but I assure you luck had nothing to do with it.

That's awesome man! It's a wonderful feeling when you receive a Legendary reward card OR a gold foil one. I've never been so lucky to get a GF legendary one, but it's coming... :D
