My day 1 on Splinterlands as a Total idiot.

This is going to be an amusing story for you but it wasn't so much for me.
I am very new to the NFT and cryptocurrency stuff. I found out about it recently. As a games lover, it was very exciting for me. Then I found about Axie Infinity but I am broke as hell. So, I could not afford to get started and found about the scholarship program. After joining dozens of discord groups for Axie infinity scholarship, I got sad and frustrated.
Then in one discord channel, I found out about Splinterlands. It was free but to unlock earning aspect it will still cost me 10usd. After some research, I was ready to get started.
And that's where things got really bad.
I made my first account and I was ready to buy Summoners' spellbook. I went to shop page and Ahh! it only accepts PayPal and cryptocurrency. Sadly! PayPal is not available in my country but I thought it would be no problem. How hard could it be to do the transaction with cryptocurrency and that's where I was wrong.
As a total newbie to the crypto market, I went to Binance and bought BUSD. Easy peasy, went to Splinterlands shop and Oh shit! I can't send BUSD from Binance to Splinterlands directly.
After some googly woogly, I found out that I need an online wallet for transfer. OK, I got it. let's go with Binance wallet since I am using Binance exchanger and boom done and transferred BUSD to the wallet.
Oh crap! again! I can't even send BUSD from Binance wallet to Splinterlands.
Got frustrated but still googled it. OK, so I need to send it to Metamask. OK setting up Metamask and some blockchain mainnet or whatever stuff it is to BSC chain.
OK, I am all done. Let's do the transfer from Binance wallet to Metamask.
Error, not enough gas fee!
Wait! what, I need to pay a gas fee to make transfer. Oh shit, back to square one. Now, what is gas fee, so transferring crypto uses gas. OK, whatever.
Opened my Binance, oh my god, minimum withdrawal is 0.01BNB. And I need to spend 10$ for around 0.02BNB because that's the minimum trade amount. OK done, and transferred it to Binance wallet and ready to transfer BUSD to Metamask.
OOh yes, so happy. Now I gonna buy a spellbook.
Ops! another error. Not enough gas fee. OOh my God, what now. Now it needs to confirm and connect to the wallet and it will cost 0.003BNB fee. Again went back to Binance wallet and transferred the remaining BNB to Metamask. Thank god I had extra BNB in my wallet.
Ahhh! finally, purchased my first summoners' spellbook.
Ohh I am very excited. let's fight, 2 wins in a row and I am so happy. 3 loses :( and 1 win and soo on.
Opened the first chest opened and got 10 DEC. so that's all I get? :(
Well, that was my first day of starting Splinterlands as a total idiot. Hope you had some laugh on my poor ass. ;)
Well, that sounds like hurdle after hurdle that you tackled like a true monster summoner. Welcome to Splinterlands and may the RNG gods have a gold foil legendary somewhere in mind for you.

The rewards do get better, its depened on luck. for me the first month was the hardest. but after that I became addicted to the game... just keep palying!
