A perfect summoner to slay mages in Splinterlands.

Even before the arrival of chaos legion and being more specific about the arrival of Thaddius Brood in splinterlands, there was already a card that scared all those who love magic cards and yes this card also belongs to the death deck and is called Owster Rotwell.

If you're new to splinterlands you shouldn't see this card often in your battles as Thaddius Brood has become more popular, but before chaos legion it used to be used very often, but I think I'm exaggerating, but I can say with certainty. I'm sure those who use a lot of magic cards were afraid of him and rightly so since the ability he bestows on cards is the biggest fear of magic cards.

You must already be looking forward to all this suspense, but who really is Owster Rotwell?

Owster is one of the only living souls allowed to tournament summon for the Dark Eternals. He was discovered years ago in a Mount Mox cave by the Lord of Darkness, and is entirely unwilling to leave the shelter of the mountain. The Dark Lord, convinced that Owster would make a powerful death summoner, spent vast resources providing a remote Dark Eternal education to the boy. Now that he is a man, Owster Rotwell represents the Dark Lord's eyes and ears at Mount Mox, from whose grounds he never moves.

Now that you know it and you can't wait to know its usefulness in battles in splinterlands so I will show you how it is a great Summoner and yes you didn't read it wrong it is a Summoner card.

As you can see he is a rare death deck summoner and the ability he grants to allied cards is Magic Reflect, and if you are really new to Splinterlands then maybe you don't know it yet so let me explain it to you.

The Magic Reflect ability causes when a spell card attacks a card with that ability, it takes part of its attack back as damage. Explaining in a better way it works like this: If a card with 3 magic attack attacks another card that has that ability then that card will do 3 damage to the card that attacked and will receive half of its attack back as damage, but the value is always up so instead of taking 1.5 damage which would be impossible it takes 2 damage. If the attack was 4 he would receive 2 and if it was 5 he would receive 3 but I think you already understand the logic.

Now you can imagine why it is a card hated by those who use magic cards since no matter which card it attacks the magic card will receive part of the damage back because all cards will have Magic Reflect. I'm going to show her power in a battle against the earth deck using Summoner Obsidian that increases the magic attack of the cards so is this going to be a good or bad thing for Owster Rotwell?

BATTLE

As I said before the enemy is using the earth deck and the summoner Obsidian and he has 3 spell cards and 2 of them have very little health so they will suffer a lot in the hands of Owster Rotwell.

Also he has the Failed Summoner card that has the Magic Reflect ability too but I don't have any magic cards so it will be useless for him and he also has the Unicorn Mustang card which is an excellent tank card against magic cards but also not it will be very useful.

At the beginning of the battle he already lost 2 cards that were the Failed Summoner and the Child of the Forest and I lost the Giant Scorpion that unfortunately had low health and his shield was useless as he was defeated by magic attacks, but he caused good damage on spell cards so your defeat was not in vain.

In the second round, his cards were falling one after the other and especially the spells that were defeated by his own attack thanks to Owster Rotwell's Magic Reflect ability and only his Regal Peryton remained, which has the Fly ability that makes him have a good chance to dodge the attacks of cards that don't have the Fly ability and it becomes a little difficult to defeat him because of that but he is defeated soon after in the third round.

Now that victory has been achieved and you also know how Owster Rotwell is a great summoner so how about knowing why I chose these cards in this battle?

As a summoner you already know that I chose Oyster Rotwell because of the Magic Reflect ability and also because my opponent used a lot of magic cards in his battles.

To defend the first position I chose Giant Scorpion as he has the Thorns ability that deals 2 damage whenever an enemy melee card attacks him so in case I was wrong about enemy magic cards then he would be of great help in battle.

In the second position I put the Spineback Wolf also for the same reason as the Giant Scorpion since it also has the Thorns skill but it was also because of its speed which is quite high and because of the Reach skill that allows it to attack from the second position.

In the third position we have the Silent Sha-Vi that will be very useful to attack the enemy's back line since it has the Sneak skill and with this skill it makes it attack the enemy card in the last position so it is quite useful.

We have Dark Ferryman in fourth position and basically he will only deal damage and his Cripple ability will help with that as in addition to having 2 attack he will also take 1 of the enemy's maximum health when attacking because of this ability.

In fifth position we have the Soul Strangler and it will also only serve to cause damage, I even consider it a great choice because it has a lot of attack (3 being more exact) and has only 3 mana cost so it helps a lot in battles and fits in almost every type of battle.

And lastly I put the Haunted Spider also to deal damage and it has the Poison ability that makes it have a 50% chance to apply this effect and do 2 damage to the enemy card hits at the end of the turn, so its damage would be of 4 (2 from attack and 2 from poison) which is quite a thing and helps a lot in battles.
