More NFT P2E, and the snapshot is soon

Everyone has been writing bout the correlation of HIVE and the rise of the price over the last couple of days to a screenshot that will be made on the 6th of January.

Ragnarok is the name and @ragnarok.game is the place to be for the info I suppose. Chess and poker will be the basis of the game and NFTs will be the culprits. When I am reading about how the rules of the game will be I just get a little puzzled. But I guess this is always with any type of game you start with. Have you ever tried reading the rules of Monopoly from the booklet? Puzzling 3.0 I would say.

I just always need to try games and see what happens and then with that info take the rules from there. Hopefully I will not be smashed into no mans land while this process is going on.

So then the question ofcourse rises, why will this game be any different compared to any other NFT playing games which are already on the market. Splinterlands ofcourse has made a gigantic killing already with actually being in all kinds of stat lists of most transactions during the day and mass adoption all over.

On Ethereum you have Gods Unchained where the playing cards surely have similarity to these types of cards, and where every time also a lot of additional rules are popping in.

Exode the game was also developing a space kind of game with again similar types of cards with mana and attacking skills and defending skills. Why is one a successor and another still in their developing skill and not taking off?

I do think it has a lot to do with tokenomics of a game and if something turns out to be sustainable. With only going up, at some point the boiling point has been reached and boom....everyone sells and it is all back to zero.

"After every battle, your Gods or Titans do not recover health, so if you enter a battle with low health characters from the previous battle, they will also have low health in the new battle. You will need to heal your gods & titans using potions/herbs, which cost HBD."

This is what tokenomics mean for Ragnarok. HBD will be priced in to heal your characters which is ofcourse a genius usecase and I am very interested in what this will do to how people see HBD.

Something else is important in the starting phase and that is marketing and it seems like the Hive marketing machine has started. With some big names from the board shilling the name and creating the hype, we must admit. That is a good kickstarter for a project.

Let's see if the game can live up to the expectations. I surely will be trying it out as I do with everything!

Do you have your funds ready for Jan 6 snapshot?

This one looks interesting, but my takeaway from reading it is that it's going to take probably more than an hour to play one game - several pieces each battling and several rounds per battle, waiting for your opponent to respond....

I don't think there are that many people around with that much patience.

Well seen from you, I didnt realize that at all. Same here I have little to no time for actually sitting and gaming, a game needs to take like max 3 minutes of my time. This was already something why gods unchained stalled on my behalf. The games often lasted a lot longer than I anticipated and then 'had to go'

Still..lets see if this is something for a rainy day haha
