Bought my first legendary card!

avatar

My first legendary card ever is an Adelade Brightwing, which I was able to get when I opened the only 10 Chaos Legion packs I bought during the pre-sale.

Haven't been lucky in rewards chests, so no Djinn Oshannus, Djinn Biljka, or Harklaw. Still praying for the RNG gods to bless me with a GF one the first time I get one. Hahaha!

Now, I've been eyeing this card for months and today I decided to buy it. It was around $40-$50 few weeks ago and, earlier, there were two cards listed for $30.

I decided to buy it through credits but, eventually, used Cardauctionz (https://www.cardauctionz.com/, founded by @marcuswahl) because of their 3.25% cashback . I initially thought I wouldn't get DEC cashback as I'll be paying through credits, but I did!

I would have gotten 234.858 DEC if I bought in Monstermarket.

But I didn't and I got myself 242.820 DEC.

Almost 8 DEC difference! Which I can use to rent cheap leveled Chaos legion cards!

It's the Ancient Lich!

At Level 1, it has 3 magic attack and has the Life Leech skill.

Ancient Lich having the Life Leech skill is exceptionally valuable in the following rulesets:

1. Equalizer

Life Leechers have low health (see below for the current cards with this skill) and they need protecting before they can tank and bring down enemies at the same time. Equalizer is a perfect time to use Ancient Lich as you won't have to worry about it being killed early in the game. At the same time, if it's not targeted in the first few rounds, you are guaranteed to have a super tanky card.

2. Reverse Speed

Ancient Lich has 1 Speed which guarantees that they'll be able to leech life at the onset of each round!

3.Noxious Fumes

Noxious Fumes cause 2 damage each round and this can be countered by causing 2 or more damage (and, thus, life leech!) every time . Having Ancient Lich in your deck means you're incurring high damage to your enemies and, at the same time, working towards surviving the poison!

4. Healed Out

There are only two skills in this ruleset that can increase their health after the round starts (not at the start of the round i.e. Strengthen). That's Scavenger and Life Leech. Life Leech contributes more health though as the health it gets is proportional to the damage it causes.

ISN'T IT USEFUL? :P

What if the price of an Ancient Lich goes down? Well, I believe in Splinterlands potential so I'm in it long-term. So if the prices go down, expect that I'll work on maxing it out and having a tanky, anti-magic (Void), and useful support (Resurrect).
