A deck in Splinterlands that is perfect for those who hate magic cards.

Today we are going about the most merciless deck with mages and with the arrival of chaos legion he became the fear of all those who love magic cards, what will their life be like after that?

I think with the image above you must have guessed which deck I'm talking about and today I'm going to show you why the arrival of chaos legion made him the terror of all magic cards. First let's start with the summoner Thaddius Brood.

imag 4.png

All of you may already know him and many must even use it and as you know he is a summoner that reduces the magic attack by 1 and also decreases the health by 1 of the enemy cards, so besides he takes the attack of the magic cards making them less offensive than they usually are since shields are useless against them, it still decreases the health of these cards making them more vulnerable to being defeated and this is just the first card I showed.

In addition to Thaddius Brood, the arrival of chaos legion also brought Corpse Fiend which is a legendary card with 0 mana cost and yes you didn't read it wrong it has 0 mana cost and also the ability Silence that reduces the magic attack of enemy cards at 1 and because it has a cost of 0 you can use it in all your battles, so it's an extra card with no cost and that has attack, life and speed too so in addition to limiting the mages it will still attack them.

These are the 2 chaos legion cards that I wanted to talk about since they decrease the magic attack of mages, but the death deck already had cards that mages hate so besides these 2 there are still others that I will talk about.

Haunted Spirit is a card that many know despite the fact that it has become less common in battles with the arrival of chaos legion, but it is still one of the most hated cards by those who use magic cards since it has the Magic Reflect ability. which reflects magic attacks and also the Void ability that causes the magic damage taken to be reduced, so just imagine it like this. You already have Thaddius Brood and Corpse Fiend and each reduces magic attack by 1 so it's -2 magic attack, Haunted Spirit has Void ability which reduces magic damage taken so if a spell card had 3 magic attack it will have 1 and with the Void skill it will make the damage to 0 so this card that had 3 magic attack will become useless in battle and the Haunted Spirit will still reflect his attack and even if the damage received is 0 it will still do 1 damage reflecting the attack, so in addition to not taking damage it will cause and calm down that's not all because the Haunted Spirit has the Heal ability that makes it heal so even if a card has a magic attack greater than 3 he will still heal himself so he practically won't suffer against mages.

imag 3.png

And if you thought the cards were over then you are wrong because we still have the Phantom Soldier which ironically is a magic card but he also has the Silence ability that reduces the magic attack by 1 of the enemy cards so if you join Thaddius Brood, Corpse Fiend and the Phantom Soldier so the magic attack of the enemy cards will be reduced by 3 in addition the Phantom Soldier has the Void ability that reduces the magic damage received, now imagine having the Haunted Spirit in the first position and the Phantom Soldier in the second and the team enemy has the most magic attack cards? Will they have a chance against it?

I think after telling you about all this you should already understand a little about the hatred of those who love magic cards with this deck. And one thing to forget to mention is that Corpse Fiend only has the Silence skill at level 4 so it would only be useful that way in the diamond league or above, in fact all the images of the cards I mentioned are at the maximum level so when you go to build your strategy takes this into account.

Now I will end with the story of Thaddius Brood because he is the card that stands out the most to make all this hatred for this deck possible as it lowers the magic attack of mages at all levels.

Messing with the dark arts should not be taken lightly. But that was the risk that Thaddius Brood took. A curious young man fascinated by the occult, he took to casting rituals and holding dark ceremonies. And it wasn't long before he got in touch with a dark entity that drove him into madness.

His family sent him to an asylum, but it only worsened his condition. And the entity within him festered and grew more powerful. Soon there was no boundary between Thaddius and it. Using his newfound dark magic, Thaddius broke from his prison and now wreaks havoc everywhere he goes. Through his rituals he got into contact with Doctor Blight. And the Doctor was fascinated with his power.

Thaddius has now joined the ranks of the Chaos Legion as an agent in the Splinterlands, sowing death wherever he can.
Thaddius Brood sat in silence in his cell, staring hard at the far wall across from him. While he was completely still and quiet, inside his mind was a busy place. The voice from the entity he'd summoned, the one that connected with him, had plenty to say.

We will get out of this, dear Thaddius. This cell is not enough to hold us. We will kill those that put us here. That dared to claim they were our masters. Everyone will know of our power.

Thaddius grinned.

And to end this post I also wanted to say that with the arrival of the lands, summoners will have a great participation in them so in addition to having an excellent card in your hands for your battles, you will still think of it as an investment because it is quite possible that the value of the summoners go up after that and Thaddius Brood is no exception, besides as you can see above he is at a great price so don't waste time and run to get yours.
