Today I will present a card that despite being very scary it will be your best ally in battles in splinterlands. Because it is a scary card you should think about the death deck and you are right it belongs to this deck and has recently arrived in splinterlands through the chaos legion edition. Can you guess which card it is? I don't think so since this edition brought several scary cards to this deck, but I'm sure the cover image of this post already gave the answer so the card I'm going to talk about today is Cursed Windeku and even if it causes you nightmares at night surely it will be worth it for the victories it will bring you.

But what makes her such an incredible letter? the answer to that will be throughout this post and i will start by talking about his stats and abilities.

STATS AND ABILITTIES

imag 2.png

As shown in the image above, Cursed Windeku is a rare card from the chaos legion edition but you should already know that. Its mana cost is 6 which I consider reasonable, that is, neither low nor high, besides it is a melee card with a good amount of attack and its speed is high at low levels but not a big deal at higher levels high and as it is the type of card that you will put in the first position in your battles so life is very important and the life of Cursed Windeku is not low at all so it already proves that it is a good card for that position. But this is just the basics of a card and yes it makes a difference, but what will really matter in this case are your skills because they make you much stronger.

imag 3.png

Let's start by talking about the Thorns skill which is the skill present in all levels of Cursed Windeku. This ability makes every melee card that attacks Cursed Windeku take 2 damage and that value is fixed unless the attacking card has some melee damage reducing ability like Shield, so it's a very useful defensive ability that does causes Cursed Windeku to damage enemy cards without having to attack them.

imag 4.png

Her next skill that starts taking effect on the card at level 5 is the Heal skill and I consider it one of the most important skills for defensive cards because it heals 1/3 of the card's health on her turn based on the card's max health. So the Cursed Windeku at level 5 has 10 health so your healing on your turn would be 3 (it is not possible to heal a broken number of health and the Heal skill always considers the number down, so it would only heal 4 health if the letter had 12 life). As I said before it is an extremely strong skill in defense because it makes the card survive longer and in the case of Cursed Windeku that has the Thorns skill then having him on the field longer means dealing more damage to enemy melee cards.

imag 6.png

His last skill is Slow and it only starts to take effect at the maximum level of Cursed Windeku and with this skill he reduces the speed of enemy cards by 1 while he has it on the field. This is already an ability that benefits all your allied cards as it will decrease the speed of enemy cards and thus give your cards a chance to attack first and this advantage can lead to the defeat of enemy cards making them not even have a chance to attack and this is very important because one less attack is one more step towards victory.

imag 20.png

COMBINATION

imag 7.png

Now that you know Cursed Windeku better and you already know that having it on the field has many benefits so know that it can still get better because there is another card in the death deck that will help Cursed Windeku a lot in battle and this card is Corrupted Pegasus and it will have 2 important functions which is its Strengthen ability that increases the health of allied cards by +1 so it will be an ability that will help all your cards on the field and not only Cursed Windeku but it will affect him well since he from level 6 it has 11 health so it would have 12 health and the Heal skill would now heal 4 health on its turn. And the second role of Corrupted Pegasus would be its Tank Heal skill which makes it heal the card in the first position based on the card's max health, so Cursed Windeku would heal 4 with its Heal skill and Corrupted Pegasus would heal +4 with his Tank Heal skill, which would give 8 healing per turn and as I said before the longer Cursed Windeku has on the field the more damage he will do and with all that healing it's like he almost respawns every turn, so he can believe me when I say that it will not be easy to defeat this combination and to make the situation better, Corrupted Pegasus has a lot of attack as well and the Fly skill that makes it difficult for him to be defeated if he is targeted.

If after all this you believe as I do that Cursed Windeku is an amazing card then and you are dying to buy it to have in your collection (besides playing of course) then I would run because its value has been going up a lot lately as you can see in the image below.

imag 8.png

As you can see it is the most expensive rare card in this edition (not counting summoners) and I believe that in the future its value will increase a lot since its utility in battle is incredibly high and it is also quite popular, but many things can change. happen and I also admit that its current value is still a little high considering that the sale of the legion chaos packs is not over yet, but if you think of it as an investment for the future then it won't hurt to have some in your hands to see what can happen until then don't you think?

I said before that he is a scary letter but I'm not just talking about his appearance but also about his history so if you want to know more about Cursed Windeku then read his story and feel fear or more fascination for this amazing card.

Cursed Windeku are nightmarish creatures that live in the deepest and darkest woods. They hunt at night, stalking their prey before attacking with their claws, while their thorn-like horns and natural healing ability provide an excellent defense,. They exude a pungent pheromone that reduces the reaction time of their victims, often allowing the Windeku to begin devouring them before they are dead. While these lifeless creatures may appear animalistic, they are highly intelligent. They have heeded the call put forth by the Lord of Darkness. Their thirst for blood is now focused on the Chaos Legion.
“I heard it again... that rustle of brush in the darkness of the forest. No mistaking it now. Something was stalking us.

I picked up my pace and urged Grewa to do the same. We hurried through the trees toward the inn. I could hear her panting behind me. Something howled then, but not like a wolf. Like a man who has gone mad with hunger.

I lost it. I ran. Ran as fast as my legs could carry me. And when I stumbled and fell and got up again, I realized I was alone. No sound of Grewa. No footfalls or heavy breath.

I rose to my feet and walked slowly back the way we'd come. I heard a sound. A wet, tearing sound. And in the middle of trees, not twenty yards away, I saw Grewa. And I saw it.

The beast was gaunt, its skin pulled tight over its bones. It was the ash-gray color of death, with sunken eyes, like a corpse recently risen from the grave, and twisted horns. And the smell. Oh, gods, the smell.

Its lips were tattered and bloody. It was Grewa's blood. It had torn her open and was feasting on her guts. And she... she was still moving. She let out a little whimper.

And I turned and I ran until I saw your light burning in the distance, and I kept running until I burst through the door.”

The man downed the rest of his tankard of ale and stared into the empty mug. The other patrons of the inn shifted in their seats.

“He's making it up,” one said.
