Brawl Report #45 Social Media Challenge, Healing Some Pizza!

When I am sick, having some pizza helps out, I know, not normal, but it is good comfort food! Normally, this would also be a giveaway for me, but since in a week from now I will be on vacation, I will not be there to pull a winner, so there will be a good giveaway when I get back!

So, let’s look at SPS which is currently trending at $0.083, a jump for the Riftwatchers expansion! I still think it is a good time to buy, especially getting into some more tourneys to earn more SPS. Speaking of that, there are 38,181 packs to go until the next airdrop, really close to the next summoner, the legendary fire summoner!

Since I have been looking at cards a little bit more, the lore really pops, and this one, has gladiators within the brawl, since I have already done all the ones that I have already used, this one comes with a Krash!

The Lore behind Krash Wanderford by Splinterlands:

Krash Wanderford may have the outward appearance of a human, but anyone who knows him can see that he is a canine at heart. He grew up on the open fields of the Burning Lands among the cult of Pyromaniacs. Even these fanatics, who are known for their savagery, were unable to control Wanderford as a youth, who preferred to spend his time running with the Cerberus of the Ashlands. Although the mutated dogs never let humans anywhere near them, they welcomed the peculiar Krash into their midst and he spent many years growing with them and learning from them.

One day a Torch caravan led by General Yuto discovered a ferocious and grizzly man among one of the packs of wild dogs as they passed. This sight was strange enough, but what caught Yuto’s attention was the raw speed of the wild man, who could outrun any of the long-legged canines with ease. He ordered the wild man captured, and after an eight month period of education and conditioning, Krash Wanderford was enlisting as a representative of the Torch to be a professional Gladiator of Moxian battle.

Krash is by far the fastest of the Gladiators, and while he is not particularly skilled with any weapons, he is incredibly resourceful and strong in combat. He was allowed to keep his wild and unkempt appearance, his long shaggy hair, and a couple of his canine friends as companions. The Gloridax masters have not yet decided if they intend to allow him to use dogs without violating the rules of single combat in gladius gloriae. They will most likely be allowed simply because they will present a more exciting show for the spectators.

On to the battle, the guild as a whole filled 12 out of 16 frays for this one, slowing filling more. I am back in my bronze Chaos Legion only fray, my favorite one! This time around I am knocking on 9 fights.

Battle #1 (Link)
Starting at the home team, @theacks walked me to the arena, always a good chat! 60 mana, divine shield and close range, interesting. I am going with water, specifically looking at more magic damage, but there are a couple of strong melee hits in it as well. My plan worked out well, that extra armor really helped!

Battle #2 (Link)
This one is also in the home arena, I decided to visit @chefbgob on this one, good to see him moving around, and delivery some pizza to him we had a good lunch before going to the arena. 24 mana, everyone has opportunity and reverse speed on this one as well. I decided to go earth on this one for the double strikes, I don’t know how well that will work out for me though. They went death on this one, which could hurt pretty bad for me. That negative health did me in.

Now we get on the road, not a great place to go, but not bad, just average. 40 mana, earthquake, fire, water and earth only. I went earth because it is the only one with flying, which is important, I am also hoping that the double strike sneak will gain enough hit points to stay alive. They went fire for that boost to damage. My strategy did not work. You can see in my picture that my team was not happy about it.

So far things are not looking good for me, which makes this travel on the road an even darker walk. Looking at 40 mana, stampede and poison rulesets. I’m going fire on this one, not only the damage boost, but the Forgotten One has immunity which helps counter the ruleset. They decided to go earth with quora and magic leading the way. Too much healing for me to go against it.

Battle #5 (Link)
Back at home, with my tail between my legs, losing so many before this is not helping things. Only rocking 14 mana and super sneak on this one. Going for fire on this one, hoping to do more damage to them then I receive. They went fire as well, with healing in the backline. Finally, a good win for me, a key miss helped me out.

Battle #6 (Link)
Staying at home, hopefully the wave of the crowd will carry me through! 12 mana, no sneak and divine shield. I am hoping that my light side can win this with a shield and some healing. They went light as well on this one. Captain Katie is not going to be nice to me. And she took me out.

Battle #7 (Link)
Already really upset at my performance at this point, not even getting to fifty percent wins. 15 mana and little league. Going fire on this one, hopefully my sneaky gladiator can do some damage to the back row! They went earth, that magic is really going to hurt me. Never mind, my gladiator just had a feast!

Battle #8 (Link)
Still away on this one, which makes it easy since I do not have to show my face around town… 23 mana, true strike and blast. So I decided to go water on this one, hopefully the speed will help me knock them out fast! They went earth, that magic damage is going to hurt me bad, especially with quora! Yeah, that is what happened to me.

Battle #9 (Link)
The last one, and homecoming, not looking good for me either. 14 mana, no ranged attacks. I decided to go fire for that boost to health and damage. They went dragon which will slow me down, but also adding in quora, it does not look well for me. Yup, quora was just a bully to me.

I am not happy with this one, sitting at 2 and 5, I can’t even get to fifty-fifty, a bad performance. The guild is currently in last place, only way to go is up at this point!

I ended up 3 and 5, not a great showing, same can be said for the guild in this one as well, 35 and 62, landing us in 8th place.
