Hi everyone, I apologize for my hiatus from posting blogs due to real-life responsibilities. Although I often daydream about leaving work and spending all my time writing blogs and playing Hive games, I know that's not feasible. Nonetheless, I'm excited to share an awesome game I had during the DAX PARAGON challenge a few weeks ago. Despite this post being late, I hope you'll still enjoy it.

First, let's learn about the story of DAX PARAGON. Born into luxury and raised in a wealthy family's mansion, Dax was given his own section of the family business - Dax's Consultations. He quickly gained renown for providing advice to the wealthy and powerful, living a life of fast luxury and not above backstabbing. When the Chaos Legion invaded the Splinterlands, Dax proved his worth to Silus and became his advisor, helping him control the Splinterlands.

DAX PARAGON is an epic monster that has two abilities which are that is going to be available at level 2 and AFFLICTION at 5.

CARD PRICE

At the time of writing, the regular foil version of this card is priced at $0.699 /BCX. Upgrading it to level two requires 4 BCX, bringing the total cost to $2.796, while earning 400 CP. The gold foil version is priced at $6.993 /BCX, and it will be automatically upgraded to level two. Additionally, players can rent a level 1 regular foil DAX PARAGON for 0.1 DEC/Day, while a level 2 regular foil or gold foil version can be rented for 3 DEC/Day.

WEAKNESS AND STRENGTHS

This card has several strengths, including its low mana cost, which makes it a flexible monster that can be used in any mana cap game. Additionally, when DAX PARAGON reaches level 2, his ability AMPLIFY is unlocked, which boosts the return damage skills of allied monsters, making him a powerful asset in battles. However, this card also has weaknesses. DAX PARAGON's basic stats are low, and without his AMPLIFY ability, he is vulnerable to SNEAK & SNIPE or OPPORTUNITY monsters.

RULESET

The game has three rulesets which are FEROCITY , STAMPEDE and BROKEN ARROW .

The game's 17 mana cap allowed me to take advantage of DAX PARAGON's low mana cost, giving me the opportunity to field more monsters and gain a numerical advantage. With only Magic and Melee monsters to worry about, I focused on maximizing the potential of DAX PARAGON's AMPLIFY ability by selecting a monster with MAGIC REFLECT to counter any incoming magic damage, while the rest of my lineup consisted of offensive monsters to secure victory.

SUMMONER

With its ability to provide +1 armor to all monsters, TYRUS PALADIUM is a perfect match for my DAX PARAGON as it enhances the physical defense of all monsters and ensures that DAX stays alive longer.

TANKS

The combination of DAX PARAGON and PELACOR CONJURER is a powerful one. With DAX's AMPLIFY ability and PELACOR's MAGIC REFLECT ability, they make a great team that can reflect magical damage and also have physical defense. Additionally, PELACOR's FLYING ability makes him a great tank against both types of damage.

With its low 4 mana cost and solid stats (2 Melee damage, 3 Speed, 2 Armor, and 4 HP), SUNKAI HARVESTER is the ideal choice for my secondary position. Its offensive prowess and physical durability make it a valuable asset in battle, allowing me to overwhelm my opponents with a well-rounded lineup.

SOUL FIEND is a utility monster in my lineup. He will buy more time for my damage dealers to finish off the last position of the enemy monsters, and also lure and tank the damage of the OPPORTUNITY monster, protecting my DAX PARAGON.

MELEE MAIN DAMAGE

CELESTIAL HARPY is the perfect finisher for my lineup. With its OPPORTUNITY ability, 2 melee damage, and 3 speed, it can easily take out low HP monsters and potentially prevent them from taking their turn, giving me a clear advantage.

UTILITY MONSTERS

DAX PARAGON is the backbone of my lineup, serving as a crucial support and utility monster. His low mana cost and game-changing AMPLIFY ability make him incredibly valuable, allowing my other monsters to deal more damage. With his aid, my PELACOR CONJURER can easily dispatch enemy magic-based monsters, securing our victory.

TIME MAGE is also a support/utility monster. Her ability SLOW will make sure that my monsters will be able to take their turn first, allowing me to eliminate the enemy monsters without taking their turns. And with her 5 speed and 2 magic damage, she will also be an offensive monster in my lineup.

My TYRUS PALADIUM and lineup are at an advantage against the enemy OBSIDIAN and their pure magic monster lineup due to our superior magic defense.

ROUND 1

The first round demonstrated the effectiveness of the MAGIC REFLECT ability with the support of AMPLIFY. This powerful combination allowed me to eliminate DJIN BILKJA and nearly defeat REGAL PAYTON. By the end of the round, I had successfully taken down three of the enemy monsters without any losses on my side.

ROUND 2 & 3

With a significant numerical advantage over the enemy, I was able to dominate the match and secure a comfortable victory while only losing one of my own monsters.

AFTERTHOUGHTS

DAX PARAGON is one of my favorite monsters because of his low mana cost and AMPLIFY ability, which makes him excel in low mana cap games. I wouldn't change anything in my lineup because I anticipated the enemy to go for a heavy magic lineup, and my lineup is specifically designed to counter magic damage.
