Hi everyone, today I come to you with my new artwork for the weekly art challenge from Splinterlands. This week I decided to start a completely new series it will be to combine cute penguins or other animals with monsters from the world of Splinterlands.

Where did the idea come from?

Some time ago on the occasion of my birthday, I received from my girlfriend an amazing painting of a penguin from the world of Team Fight Tactics and I thought: "What if I did the same thing but in combination with my new favorite game?", and so I decided to create new characters every week as a mix of the two worlds. If you like, maybe one day I will post a picture she painted, I am sure everyone would like it, I am trying to convince her to use Hive myself, but I feel I still have a long way to go to convince her.

The first work in the new series

Today I would like to introduce you to the process of creating the newest work, which I called "Prince Pingu", it is a combination of two paintings "Prince Julian" and "Featherknight".

The work was done in Photoshop and Illustrator. Illustrator was used to creating the sketch while the other program was used to paint the image and create shadows.

Process creating the Digital Art

The first step was to draw a sketch. The operation itself was rather simple, as both pictures are not very complicated. And then creating the final form of "Prince Pingu".

Then the whole work was colored, as you can see the first effect is not convincing, but the shading greatly improves the final effect.

After applying shadows, I decided that every picture should have a background, but I came to the conclusion that minimalism works best in this case.

Frankly speaking, I am very pleased with the result, if you want you can let me know in the comments who you would like to see next week and if you don't start creating simple animations.

And that's all thanks you for stopping by to view this article.

very great work,, it's refreshing to see you creatively introduce a new aspect in your weekly splinterlands artwork. I hope more people get to see this, as we artists can all learn something from it.
