Tutorial: How to Participate in a Splinterlands Tournament

Hello friends :)
Splinterlands is a really nice and fun game.
On Splinterlands you can challenge another player or you can participate in a tournament and compete with many players.
The topic of this post is participation in Splinterlands tournaments.
In detail I will cover the following points:
- The "Events" section of Splinterlands
- Registration for a tournament
- The choice of the tournament to participate in
- Practical example of playing a tournament
The "Events" section of Splinterlands
The first step to signing up for a tournament is to visit the Events section on the Splinterlands website.
You will see the following screen.
Tournaments are ordered by default based on the tournament date.
From this screen you can view the main and summary information of each tournament.
The section of the filters is very useful.
In the following image you can see all the choices available for each filter.
There is also a filter to select tournaments based on the type of cards that can be used.
For example, if you only have Beta cards, you can only view the tournaments that allow you to deploy Beta cards.
You can select multiple choices.
Registration for a tournament
1. When you have chosen the tournament you want to participate in you must click on the button with the inscription VIEW
2. As a last step you have to click on the word ENTER as indicated by the arrow in the following image.
IMPORTANT NOTE: you must remember to check in 15 minutes before the tournament starts.
The choice of the tournament
The choice of the tournament is important and depends on the type and level of the cards you have.
You must always pay close attention to the rules and info of the tournament you want to play.
For example in the tournament in the image above the rules are as follows.
The numbers indicate the maximum level of summoners you can deploy in battle.
You can set up the following summoners:
- Common summoners of maximum level 8
- Rare Summons of maximum level 6
- Epic Summoners of maximum level 5
- Legendary Summoners of maximum level 3
If you have level 1 summoners, it is practically useless for you to register for a tournament with these rules because you will hardly be able to get to the prize area.
In addition to the level of the summoners it is important to also consider the type of cards that the tournament rules allow to use.
Only cards from the Untamed collection are accepted in this tournament.
So if I don't have Untamed summoners or I have few cards from the Untamed collection it is useless to register.
Practical example of playing a tournament
On April 30th I participated in a free entry tournament,
I made a series of screenshots to show how a tournament practically unfolds.
Fifteen minutes before the tournament started I received the following notification message in the upper right corner.
After clicking on VIEW I clicked on CHECK IN on the next screen as indicated by the arrow in the next image.
When the tournament starts you receive the following notification message.
When it is your turn, you will receive the following notification message indicating the time you have available.
When the tournament is running, from the Arena section you can see all participating players and their score for each Round of the tournament.
From the Battles section you can see the details of each battle for each round of the tournament.
The tournament didn't go well but I had fun and that's what counts :)
Conclusion
Taking part in Splinterlands tournaments is a lot of fun.
If you have never participated in a Splinterlands tournament, you can try to play one starting from the tournaments with free entry.
I hope this little guide of mine will be especially useful to new players.

My luck was always bad that's why didn't play tournament at all. Later I stopped playing monsters... Not for me.. Unfortunately.. Anyway, thanks for this tutorial, it will be helpful for newbies...
I also haven't played many tournaments and the few I've played haven't gone very well :)
Thanks for your comment @priyanarc
