Do you think a deck like this is needed to sustain a Silver I rank? I'm asking that because I'm currently being able to stay between the Silver III / Silver II ranks (a lucky winstreak puts me on Silver II, then a lose-streak puts me back on Silver III), and I don't have even 200$ or 250$ on cards. I'm surprised to see that 1800$ would be needed just to increase my rank a bit to reach Silver I.

Oh I'm sure it's possible to get by with a much lesser deck, but my reasoning is this: there are plenty of people with gold level decks that are going to be competing in Silver league one too!
If you have a death deck like the one above you should have a reasonable chance of placing in one of the top slots, it might even get you into Gold, probably wouldn't get you very far up Gold however.
